After a little digging when he "shipped" us an 18 spline transmission through USPS priority mail, and it was delivered to Brunswick, NJ, I came up with a few interesting details :)


His name is Chris Cummings, and he lives in Stafford, VA. Here is his facebook profile

He keeps spamming this CGC Racing site on the 3000GT facebook page, and also on 3si (CGC maybe for his initials??). DO NOT TRY TO GO TO THE WEBSITE!!! IT'S PORN!!!!! (or you can go if you would like a free peek at some boobies) :lol:

He used the email wakeboardplaya16@hotmail.com to send me pictures of this transmission, the name on that email was Phil Me. He has scammed quite a few people from 3si before using that email address, including one of our customers, Ben (which is how I put two and two together, he had emailed me with the kids email address quite a while ago to see if I could dig anything up on him). Hans handled the transaction, so, I did not know about this until just a little bit ago.

Facebook shows they are both friends with eachother... However, it's starting to look as though they're both the same person after doing some searching around the forums, and on facebook.

I came up with a phone number and address for a Chris Cummings in Alexandria, VA, however, I do not know if it is the correct address, and do not want to bother someone that has nothing to do with this transaction... I want to do a little more digging before I make that phone call.

I have filed a dispute with paypal for the $310 we paid him, however, I do not have high hopes of getting the money back.

I wanted to post this up ASAP so you all can be warned.

He has CONTINUALLY changed his usernames, and information to circumvent the verification process, which I have seen a number of people do before (a kid that scammed me for $4000 did the same thing on 3si about a year or two ago, and scammed a few other members... I helped them resolve that issue behind the scenes).

Anyway, even if a person is verified, always do your due diligence in verifying that the email address match up, as do the names on all of the communications (email, paypal, the forum, etc).
