I love the option to delete the stock wing, but HATE the fact that you can't do it on the 3000GT. Also found it kinda funny that the GTO had USDM tail lights but was RHD. All in all, though, it's an amazing game. I love all of the new classic muscle options, and the leveling system kicks ass! Being able to spend your money on buying cars without having to worry about being able to afford the upgrades is pretty great too. Although I've noticed in this game that it is a LOT easier to come into money than previous games. The first races I did were over 10k CR each... which is a little abnormal.
Again, that being said, I spent my entire day yesterday playing this game.

I really am not a fan of the cars that are level rewards coming upgraded already. It's just a waste of time to downgrade them and build them how I like. I almost always go for grip over speed and they tend to go for the opposite.

The PI system seems to be loads better, but I haven't played online at all and there's not enough data in the leaderboards yet. That said, I can consistently get in the top 50 assuming I manage a clean lap on a track I know.

Infineon is insanely fun, Bernese Alps is just good, and Indy sucks. There's no brake markers on Indy and the track is pretty flat and boring.

That HKS Evo is a beast, it understeers on the way into corners like crazy so the lines you need to take are really weird.

Beat your time. I didn't realize you set your time from a standstill, lol. I have another ten seconds or so (lap was dirty I had to rewind twice for silly mistakes) on top of the time I set. I have a feeling this is going to come down to who spends the most time perfecting their lap.

BTW I hate the Radical, it's so unstable even with the aero. Come into a corner and you're not sure if it will wildly oversteer or just plow straight off the track. Forget about using the brakes too, geez. Not at all confidence inspiring, I had a death grip on the damn controller for at least 75% of the lap.

I have an answer for the second part, but not the first. If someone can answer that first bit, I'd benefit greatly as well.
Upload your photos to the Forza storefront, and then log on to fm.net and download them from your media page in all their hi-res glory.

You can't import images, you need to draw them in the inbuilt editor. All of those badass paintjobs are all done using the inbuilt editor. You can probably buy some vinyls on the storefront, or maybe even full liveries.

That being said, I'm having a hard time beating the 12.1 on Infineon's 1/4 drag with my King Cobra. I keep coming in at a 12.25 every time. Try messing with the tune and it just makes it worse. Starting to piss me off.

Are you using manual w/ clutch Jeff? TCS on or off? You get a huge speed advantage using manual w/ clutch which would probably make the difference.

No, I was going auto. Need to practice with the manual/clutch setup. Also, picked up a good tune on the storefront and managed to eek out an 11.566 thereby netting me a 50,000CR bonus and putting me in 2nd place for my club (supraforums off topic). Now to get it below an 11.4

Well, it wasn't clean, I'll tell you that much. Go check out some of the tuner set ups on the storefront. I think the one I picked up was titled Drag Rival. Got rid of a bunch of stuff that was slowing me down and really evened the car out quite a bit.

I play with bumper cam on a 130" screen... so it makes it hard for me to take a glance at what gear I'm in. Every time I take a glance, I'm in the trees :(. If only they had a shift light indicator that blinks in the middle of the screen. I've been trying to play with in-car cam because the gauges are in the middle of the screen.

I use the stock button setup, I use my left index finger to brake and downshift. I use it in the same way you heal toe in a real car. As I come to a turn I brake, and while braking I just roll my finger up to tap LB and blip the gas to change down a gear. It's smooth, it works, and it's actually really comfortable when you get the motion down.

yeh unfortunately, it seems that if you want to race in a 1st gen, you need to get GT2, :P
i hope that in either/or both GT5 and Forza we can see a DLC for a 1st gen :)
atleast GT5 gives you a 3rd GEN aswell as a billion variations of everything else but the 1st :P heck you can even get an SL or SR (to me the same thing, one just has compliance lights and headlight washers)

planning on modding up my cars looks in the near future so ive been using FORZA and GT5 as guides. anyways, here are some design concepts that i did last night in game
1. The GTWOAH BAR, obviously the front splitter is a bit TOO big but i had no option in Forza for home made ;)
keep in mind the black around the MITSU logo is supposed to replicate an opening in the bar.

ill play around a bit more with the GTR style insert but i remember when i first started the design, the insert looked odd when it was too big,
also it wont be Grey in RL it will be atleast CF wrapped to give it a new feel and look.

as for the rear end. totally agree. the only reason i used the bomex rear is cause theres not much of an option on forza for rears :(. the diffuser idea is actually what i plan to do.
the car will have its looks based on a "Ready to attack the track" theme. I want it to look like its sitting at the Starting grid Tsukuba when i pull up at a set of lights. so a diffuser to match all this will definatley be the way

Thanks. I do mostly online stuff. The driver levels once you get past 50 start giving you money, lots at a time, and they come quick. Last level (70ish out of 150) gave me over 150,000 credits lol
