Here it is, fresh off the polishing bench ready to go in your car.

This kit works along with the stock windshield washer tank, or without it if you want to take out a couple more pounds. On its own this kit is 20 pounds lighter than the stock battery and tray. If you want to clean it up a little more while your in there, the washer tank weighs another 5+ pounds full.

Being placed tight to the wheel well this opens up a lot of space for custom IC piping, intake pipes, or single turbo kits, without adding the weight of moving the battery to the rear of the car. Or if your just doing it for the looks and dont need the space, it cleans up the engine bay quite nicely.

So say goodbye to this...

Depends on what model battery it is, get me the model number or measurements and I can tell you. If not I can custom make one for you.

Austin, It looks great but do you think it could be closer to the strut tower? Maybe put one of the mounting bolts in the tray and shorten the rear mount. I don’t think I have those lines on my car (No ABS) so I would like to get it as close to the strut tower as possible. I'm very interested in this.

Edit: how about notching out part of the side of the tray on the front mount so the bolt is almost touching the battery and the rear mount short like the front one was?

I can amke a shorter one, or if thats what everyone wants, i can make them all shorter. I Tried to leave a little bit on this one so it would cover up more of washer tank.

I can mock one up on my car since i have no lines there and get it as tight as possible.

Shoot me a PM about how you would like one, and get a pick of the back corner of your engine bay if you could just so i can see what the closest thing is that would get in the way.

How much are these kits? I'm gonna relocate my battery to the trunk. These need to be vented and sealed? I'm not too familiar with small batteries.

This is what I was wanting if possible. In-between the blue lines I want the tray edge notched out so the screw can go there, and the red dots would be where I would want the screws/bolts. Basically I would want it as close as you can get it to the strut tower. When I get home I'll check my engine bay.

Do these batteries perform as well as a normal one?

PM'd you about a custom battery mount!

These batteries are sealed so no venting is required. I have mine mounted laying flat behind the rear passenger seat and it's just fine. You can mount these batteries upside down and they will still work just fine!

Mine has been holding up fine for the last few months now. had to charge it a few times but thats just cause I was cranking the engine a lot trying to get it to start up!

yeahhh, I had a battery somewhat similar to this (YTX-24) and it ended up going flat when left for over 3 weeks...then I over charged it and blew the crap out of it :p back to a D34(relocated to boot)

That just looks really good.

Weight savings aside, just the clean engine bay look.

Ya it works good for just cleaning up the engine bay as well.

Also for anyone that is interested in a kit where they will not be using the front windshield washer resivoir, i would like to make a kit that mounts it close to, or right on the subframe for the many racers on here it will help with the weight being that much lower in the car.
