Just a heads up guys, I'm looking at moving to the 380mm Ksport 8 piston big brake kit, and to do this I need to sell my current kit, I'm after ~$1,500

this includes Calipers + New Improved Rotors (these ones have considerably thicker walls) + new Pads + Braided SS brake lines.

The Rotors + Pads have not been fitted, however if this kit does not sell in a few weeks I might put them in and see how she feels :)

Comparing this kit to stock, I found that on a certain stretch of road the stock rotors + redstuff pads would start to fade after 2-3 hairpins, with this kit it never faded, has been awesome, the only issue I've had is that the stock rotors developed small cracks, upon speaking at length with Ksport they mentioned that this was due to the first batch of brake kits they did being of thin walled rotor (something like 6-7mm of meat) the current batch that they tell me they have no problems with and are better than the AP Racing rotors are actually 9-10mm of meat :) so I bought a new set of rotors (yet to be installed) and a new set of Yellow stuff brake pads (the next level up from Red stuff)

I believe 38mm, I will get you a fitment card as soon as I can and measure to confirm :)

how is the spoke clearance for the calipers vs. stock 2g tt calipers?

from memory of when I swapped them the ksport actually had more clearance, I should have the diagram for clearance in a few hours (fingers crossed)

I'm not sure I have any of them under the old 18's...surely I have them somewhere :|

Gimmie a few days and I'll take some pix of the brakes specifically.

Anyway this is them with the old Rotors + old pads under 19" rims

didn't know you painted them....

If you want them orange it's just normal matt black which will come off with paint remover, if you know what I'm like I don't like shiny shit :D

I guess I can apply some remover to a section to show you the colour underneath if the bits showing is not enough.

Ok, I have pictures but I can't upload them at the site I'm at... Re Old Vs New Rotors

both sets of rotors are 32mm wide, the old rotors have a 18.5mm wide cooling gap, the NEW ones have a 14mm wide cooling gap, so essentially the new rotors have an additional 2mm(9mm vs 7mm) of meat on each side, heaaaps better!

Pics to come later tonight.

Are you actually keen I.P.D? if so I'll get a quote, they will need to be 2 x separate parcels as the rotors are listed as 20kg alone)

i'm interested, but i really need them to look OEM, not flat-black. my stock calipers already have a rattle-can job. :p

what i'm REALLY worried about is the shipping. my first choice was d2's; but ksports are mechanically identical--and these are a few hundred cheaper with upgraded rotors. then again, it's my DD, so high-dust pads aren't really something i'm looking for...

decisions, decisions....

well, the Green crap pads are ment to be dust free... freight wise looking at the Australia Post site for Seamail your going to look at ~$183

FWIW express services are $300 (2-4 business days)

I'm not sure if you'd want them to look oem...you prefer the ugly Orange? :p ? guess I don't really care either way :)

ok. so you'd want $1683 to be shipped to CONUS.

...gonna have to think that one over for a while...

and you need to measure your Hubs for me, the brake Hubs had to be machined out for the GTO Hubs (stock they were slighly to tight) I'll measure my hubs over the weekend so you know what your dealing with.

well then i guess it's a no-go, cause i'm nowhere near my car. GLWS!

yeah that's cool, I'm be careful as you'd not want to get it and then discover something wasn't quite right. the only reason I'm putting these up in the aussie section is it's probably not worth shipping out of Aus.

actually, you could just ask on the forums if any other stealth owners have ever measured their hubs....

googling replacement hubs, it looks like the Stealth Hub is 69mm, apparently the VR4 is 67.1mm (wtf?), I believe the GTO Hub is 73mm...they'll still work...but not centered by the hub :|

GTO hub is 67mm. I measured it on the weekend :p they are all the same IIRC

ok, I'll go measure them, I know the rotor hats had to be machined to fit just right.
