So working on the car today found that the trans end cap had come off! Luckily it was caught within the splash guard so I didn't loose it. After getting the wheel and splash guards off I found that the shaft looked a little funny!
Is there supposed to be a bolt or something in there? I looked down the hole and I don't see anywhere for one to thread into. All of the images I say online had a bolt or something in that hole.
Any Ideas???

If I remember right the big thing just inside the hole is the bolt. It takes an allen key to remove it.

Someone lost a `box due to the endcap comming off so you`ve caught that one just in time!.

So I got confirmation that I am not missing anything. It just looks funny cause apparently someone stripped out the allan head and welded on a nut to remove it. They than cut off the nut after re-installing the nut instead of replacing it.
I was so worried that something had fallen off when the cap popped off. Good to know I just need to re-install and seal the end cap.
Thanks everyone!

Fucking Damn it!!!!
I have to figure out a way to get that damn nut off now as I need to re-shim the rear input bearing as I found that is what is causing all the damn trans rattling noise!!!
Any Idea's?!?!?

Any Idea's?!?!? Weld a nut onto it maybe............
For sure replace it with a new one afterward.
just weld a shit socket onto it like the last guy looks like he did, then get new bolt...can't be worth much

Bummer, yeah I guess I'd just weld something to it like the last guy did.
