Tried posting this on 3si but guess there are no technical people left over there as I can never get anything answered over there anymore. Guess I'll just remember to post all questions on here from now on.

So after completing my TT build I am in the process of trying to tune everything up. I am using MMCD on a Palm m105 and I cannot get it to connect. I keep getting a COMM Serial Error. I have gone through three different cables thinking I got bad cables but still nothing. I am now thinking the the ODB1 port is not getting a signal from the ECU. When I first got the car running it worked fine. the I started having issues with the the signal going in and out. I haven't done a lot of investigating yet due to the weather but I just have some quick questions.

Does anyone know how to check from the signal?

Can I just use a Digital Multi-meter to check the ODB1 port and the ECU pin?

Anyone else having similar issues?

I have a trial copy of HHH that I will try to log directly to the laptop and see if I can get a signal as soon as it warms up a little.
