Im set up to run 14 pounds of boost on stock turbos. I just replaced the heads,turbos,y-pipe and gutted the cats. I just got the car back yesterday so i have not pushed her hard at all. As i was coming home from the shop and getting on the interstate i gave it some gas and as boost began to build the car just nose dived i guess you could call it. The engine stuttered and acted like it just gave up. My first thought was over boost. My gauge was reading 25 (aftermarket pro-sport) pounds(dont even think 9b's can spike 25 lbs lol). I pulled over immediately and turned the mbc almost all the way down. as i was getting back on the highway i babied her up to speed. in 6th i tried again and same result. this time i heard a loud whistle under the hood. Any ideas... my first thought was a massive boost leak.

Oh i did replace some things this morning as well. i replaced the rear o-ring on the rear turbo pipe and the vac caps that were dry rotted. This killed the whistle but not stalling during boost

And 1 thing i did notice is i can ease into boost a little bit but not full throttle.

Things i have done to car when it went down.
fairly new 9b's from a jdm engine
vac reduction
y-pipe
gutted cats

Check your wastegates pressure, do a pressure test on your intake, had you done anything to do with fuel? In the simple mind thoughts I had it sounds a lot like fuel cut?

Also, what year is your car? check into your TPS, and CAS.

no pressure test yet...

as far as fuel its all stock system. with the boost set at 7 pounds it dont fuel cut as often.

My mechanic that worked on it to get it running said the same thing a fuel cut.

tps and cas rings no bells can you explain a little?

i turned the boost controller way down. My gauge showed a total of 7 pounds of boost the last time i boosted. Now i cant hold 2 pounds without a bunch of air escaping from some where. It sounds horrible. maybe my blow off valve

Spark Blowout..
Replace coil packs and/or wires or perhaps the PTU..

You need to get a pressure tester and start finding your leaks. From what you are posting it sounds like it's a major leak at a connection point.

of course i read it... Why would i ask for help and not read anything

Im in the process of building a pressure tester...

as far as the ptu and coils both were pulled and tested during the process of putting motor back together from head job. They both tested good but i dont know enough so im not saying there not my problem still.

was referring to mighty mouse reading, not you. His post has nothing to do with your symptoms. You most likely have a large boost leak, not spark blowout or bad coils/ptu...

Oh, HOLY SHIT I didn't even notice his post, I'm pretty sure that's the only post I didn't see somehow.
Anyway, if that's the case I'd start by checking all of the soft pipes first. Perhaps one is blown open.
