View Full Version : Aussie TD05 guys
Hey folks, looking for anyone else in Aus who's running or bought a TD05 kit...looking at it and attempting to bolt it all up I'm worried I might end up having to do some adjustments...anyone got one all up and running? will post pix later.

TD05 big 16g's. Oh wait, didn't you say you were getting executioners or something? 800 ponies or near that?
Terminators :) not sure what I'll get out of them, should be fun with 3.8L of displacement though

What are you doing about the engine height with the 6G75? cus it will hit the bonnet.....
Figure that one out when I get there :) if all goes well custom head covers + custom intake manifold

Custom bonnet bulge will solve that one :)
nahhh I don't like those.
Turf the hood all together :p
Your car will be a beast when it's done Mick, sounds like you've got your hands full though...
Yeah...she's full on...I kinda like gradually getting to know it so well..I can look at a whole stack of bolts now and tell you where 99% of them go...it's a nice feeling :)
Anyway I KNOW there are 2 other guys in Australia with TD05 kits...curious if they have anything like my issues:

it's not a direct bolt on :) and too much lag :p but it does have loads of power :D
It gets shitloads better...basically short of aiming for the 800hp level you are better with the DR750's...so no point short of old laggy 20G's
on the GOOD side, DR are looking at billet wheels and titanium Alu turbines....fucking unreal shit....gonna see if they can do mine ;)
in another note if anyone's interested I'd be tempted to sell the kit...won't be using it for a year atleast :| can't see much point in keeping it around :| shame really.

is it possible to effectively run 2 different sized turbo's to remove the lag of this kit? how would you do this?
you can...just run the smallest TD05 you can buy and bolt it on with another larger one...people are known to run 9b's with 15G's n things :| (mostly people swap the rear turbo as it goes quite often in the TD04 series (rear oil line is that bad))

No one has issues like you Mike :p
I need new turbos, not being inordinately adventurous when it comes to car mods or particularly rich at the moment they'd be '04's... just better 04s, that don't leak oil and hold boost better than the asthmatic crap ones in there now.
Far too long since I've heard from you buddy...definitly need a car meet in the next few weeks guy :D

Had a change of work roles so I'm a 9-5, mon-fri type of animal now, so I have stuff like 'weekends' and other weirdness like 'sunlight' I'm not quite sure what to do with. But much easier to get a hold of.
goood! with a little stuffing around I should be good for a meet in a few weeks :)
