View Full Version : Ground Zero Performance Review

I'd like to take the time to put Ground Zero Performance in the spotlight. When it comes to replacing parts on my car I find it is more cost effective to purchase the used parts coming from Ground Zero then to pay brand new because it WORKS and it works great! They always have everything and I mean EVERYTHING considering they have every bolt, trim, and bullshit pieces on the car in stock that I need for my car at a really good rate with fast shipping. Hans and Emilie has always taken the extra mile to find what ever I need for my car and for that I say Thanks!

Just to add to the review, I also have purchased major car components from them. They are in great condition and price perfectly. Whenever I need anything OEM for my car, I always turn to GZP first.

Another bump for Hans and Emilie. I bought my '99 VR-4 from them, it was a great experience. Emilie picked us up from the airport rental car place and drove us to GZP to get the car.

To let you guys in on a little secret, if you hang around the shop long enough, they buy pizza ;)

If I were to fly to PA, they better buy some damn pizza! hahaha

I hung around long enough for pizza and chicken wings. They're great people. I called once at around 10pm as they were leaving because my car was leaking fuel like crazy, and they waited there for about 40min, as I drove from allentown to their shop, just for a fuel pump gasket. I should stop by for the hell of it, its been a while.

Next time I am home I might make the drive out, should be right around an hour and a half from my place to their shop... will be in a rockin rental but oh well.

I always order too much pizza. Whatever lucky customer walks through the door is handed a slice, or 5. LOL

Hans and Emilie are Awsome people takes me 3 and 1/2 hour drive to them so that's 6 hours if I speed :) back and forth and I made that trip at least 5 or more times. That has to say something when I could just go to a local here but I know if I go there I can leave with a peace mind and no worries. Thanks for all you guys do there.

haha, My car's practically lived there for the past 9 months and I never got pizza! wtf? lol

Nah, GZP rules! And they actually give enough of a shit about their customers to go out of their way to help them, even when they just left work and forgot to tighten some I/C piping that couldn't be seen because it was dark outside and my flashlight is broken. hahaha

They can actually put down more then 300awhp!?!?!?

well, while I don't have numbers yet, with the same tune as the old turbos had, it leans out at 12 psi and full throttle, so they are definitely puttin out more air flow. And yes, they are payin for themselves. I met up with some friends over turkey day weekend who seemed to think that even with a full fuel system, bigger turbos, a front mount and suspension and brake work, my car was still slow, lol. So they started talkin smack and that eventually led to a race with a basically stock 300zx TT. Raced him at 9 psi and at 100 mph I had at least 3 cars on him. So I won $100 there. Then a neon with stage 2 mopar upgrades wanted a piece, so I turned the boost up to about 11 psi and left his ass at the line. he claimed "traction problems" but still paid up another $100. So we went again, with me turnin the boost back down to 9 psi, and I still won by two car lengths (that's another $100 for me). THEN, a friend pulled up in his brand new 2010 Vette and started talkin shit, so I turned the boost up to about 13 psi and won despite runnin lean and hesitating a little bit. had around a car on him at 120.
So I won $400 off of friends who still think my car performes like its stock. haha, you figure after the walking of the 300zx they would have realized it was modified out the ass compared to when we were in high school, but I guess some people just can't wrap their head around a 4500 lb 12 sec monster, hahaha.

hahaha, still got a way to go before they're technically profitable, but it was nice to put a dent in their initial cost.

maybe that could be a new slogan? "If you street race illegally..." lol

Just another "shout out" to GZP. Emilie has been extremely helpful to this new 3000 owner. I have a LOT of issues with my car, and I've had so many (noob) questions. Emilie has answered every single one of them patiently and clearly.

And just so I don't get in some sort of trouble here, I actually am a customer now :) I ordered a strut. It was not only a very reasonable price, but it was shipped immediately!

I'll post again after I head up there, it's only 3 hours away, and that sounds like a reasonable distance to go for pizza/wings.

well after multiple times being asked to say something nice about gzp by emily. i guess i could, now that i can access this site. i will say in 2wks or less they got my car, up and running after it had sat for 2.5yrs in the driveway. oil lines, and ps line had broken, clutch was gone, needed the 60k done, and probably much more. a couple wks later the car went back b/c somehow a nut from somewhere got stuck in a valve spring(nut isn't found on a 3/s). luckily i only needed a camshaft. since then(last june) it's gone back for things i've wanted and other lil things needed.

my father also purchased a 92 TT from them last september. he's had issues wit the trans, but who doesn't, i have no 3rd gr. again with him gzp takes their time and get the job done right.
