Finished the TT swap. 91 JDM motor, and harness, into a 94 base 3000GT. Stock 9b's (for now), stock injectors, mostly stock motor, with only 50k. EGR delete, hotwired radiator, K&N air charger, 60k tune up, SPEC stage 4+ clutch, ATR dp with cat delete, and custom stainless catback system. Custom gauge setup, including AEM UEGO wb, and a Blitz SBC-ID. Not entirely sure what power she can make, as I still have a FWD tranny in it, and that one wheel can't keep up to save its life. Let me know what you guys think!

The new motor arrived:

Looks pretty sick! I love seeing people going full bore with their builds.

What did you use to paint or dye your dashboard, etc?

Love the gauges. You really went to town stripping that interior, props on that. I had a all white with blue trim interior on my 98 Integra.....never again.

Is that NA manifold/plenum at 2 piece design? That would be ideal for modifying and making something with shorter runners etc.

Thanks guys! I used good old SEM paint, color was Pescadaro Sand, or some such. Why yes, that IS a 2 piece plenum. What could I do with that??

Maybe use it to make something like this?

And how would I go about converting to that!?

Unfortunetly if you need to ask that, it's prob beyond your ability. Basically I want one that is shorter so I can gain access to my rear spark plugs without removing the intake. Also there are benefits of having shorter runners etc. You would have to fabricate a custom tank/plenum that bolted onto the lower/front half of the intake or weld on a new tank.

Basically lop off part of the plenum and weld that cylinder on?

GTOJOE

basically yes. but there is a lot more involved in the ports etc on the inside. The cylinder design is also very important.

I would like to see some completed interior pics if you have any.

Aside from the dash, only the carpet and rear seats are done. It's eclectic, with like 5 colors.

Interested in the sound deadening material. Looks like it would be easy to cut and piece into place. What type of adhesive is recommended for installing it. Maybe something like a 3M spray adhesive.

Would like to see pictures once its all in place. Should make for a very quite ride. Since I take long trips with mine I do enjoy the quite.

Lol, are you gonna keep the N/A and build a monster out of it over time? It doesn't look like I'll be doing anything with it for about 4-1/2 months now. I wanted to get it into the shop on the weekend but had to work out of town, and just my luck... We got over a foot of snow, and I'd have to plow a path all the way around my house to get it out :( I'll likely be doing a rebuild thread when I get going on it though. :)

I would have loved to keep the NA and rebuild it over time, but I just broke up with my fiance, and I'm moving out. No place to put it. I'm selling it, and the entire NA system from air box to exhaust tips. Lol, if you're lucky, there will be a lull in the snow so you can get it there. Good luck!

It was pretty easy to cut and install. Talk to Don Sambrook over at Sound Deadener Showdown. Very knowledgable guy. Sets you up with everything, and does every order custom. He basically uses three separate layers for the maximum effect. I think it cost me ~$340 including shipping to do my entire floor and firewall. He has an adhesive that he recommends for attaching the materials together, but he uses velcro to mount it, so it can easily be removed at a later date if you wish. It's a pretty slick setup. Tell him what you want to do, and the dimensions, and he'll do the rest. It makes the exhaust worlds quieter, and makes the overall feel of the car more solid, if that makes any sense.
