Buying a house, need interior paint advice...

I'm in the process of buying a beautiful 95 year old REO that has awesome dark wood trim in every room, and every wall is painted white. When I've moved in I'm thinking of adding some color to the rooms, but EVERY paint brochure I've seen has ONLY white trim.

Does anyone have any suggestions or pictures of what interior colors which might match well with the brown trim and aged brass chandaliers?

How about a color wash? White base, which you already have. Coral color wash, pale yellow wash over it.
