Ok then,

So what's all this about ...I'm starting this thread as way to share information about a project that J.Fast & I are collaborating on.

J. mentioned the project here in this thread:http://www.3sgto.org/showthread.php?1678-Unlocking-3000gt-G-Sensor-Function

and I figured I'd go ahead and start an official thread on the project since the words out.

This project has it roots when I started it about 6 months ago with the desire to retrofit the Mitsu OEM ECS struts system into my '98VR4. I hated the stock non-ECS '98 suspension. After doing some initial research, I was more than happy to go with the OEM controllable struts - but was not thrilled about having to retro in the OEM ECS control unit and system. It seemed prone to failure and didn't have the controls I wanted.

So I decided to build a new one that worked the way I wanted it - Manual control with the option to build in automated functions later. Here's a thread on www.colorado3s.org (http://www.colorado3s.org) about the actual retrofit into my '98: http://www.colorado3s.org/index.php/topic,398.0.html. Before going any further I'd just like to acknowledge DrGonzo, 98Slept, Saiba31123 and J.Fast for helping out with all the info and feedback they gave me for the first phase.

So towards the end of the first project J. Fast is looking at it going..hmmmm....why not let's build one to control the Aero surfaces too - which I hadn't thought about since my '98 doesn't have that either and that's how the project was born. It's a cool idea because in the OEM versions the two controllers are separate - our goal is to expand on the phase I controller and add to it so that it will provide the ability to synchronize the suspension system with Active Aero System behavior as well as give centralized manual control

Here's duplicate links to what was already posted in the other thread.

Very very nice. I might need your help with a project with my which requires hijacking the tachometer to control a device.

Just say the word, we can wire and control whatever :D .

This thread is for custom aero surfaces and custom motor drivers.

Very cool piece you made there. Is this this user programable?

Yes. It's a fully programmable standalone suspension and aero surface controller.

Very interested! I have a stock Gen1 AE/ECM setup but a custom controller would be really nice.
Mind sending me the technical info about your device?

I remember talking about this on 3si. It looks like it turned out very nice. Tell me more about programming it with AA.

when I get down the track of this, what you have would be awesome :)

I even like the idea of having some of it take input from the steering wheel and brakes (flicking the bar when you push the brake) buuut another day...another year.
