Looking for someone who can do 3D printing. Custom colors would be a plus. Link below for CAD files. My existing guy doesn't have a printer big enough for this item. Would need to be shipped to 31088.

Thanks!

FWIW, I think Toni does a good bit of 3D - don't know if he still habituates REBAWC, but I think you have been banished from there as I have.

Don't know how to solve the comm-problem, but he may be able to help if you can contact him. :)

REBAWC? The alleged hangout that was hijacked by pinko leftist commie bastards intolerant of anything not SJW flavored?

I don't have any ABS for my printer thats big enough for this, also I'm not able to make a grabcad account to actually download the file.

Found the invisible robot checkbox to sign up. That's a big one, 12-24 hour print depending on quality.

Ii figured it wouldn't necessarily be a quick job. It's an OEM design flaw which makes it brittle with time/age. I'm having my console re-upholstered, and junkyard parts won't offer anything better than the OEM flaws.

Thoughts on PLA? If its covered it may be an option. Generally I wouldn't use it if gets above 100 degrees F

It's on the underside of the armrest, but this is Georgia. It's gonna be piss hot inside the car in the middle of summer regardless.

THAT is no JOKE!! My shirt was drenched after we loaded the car and stuff onto the trailer.

Hello!

Greets! Are you able to help? Do you have a 3/d printer that will be big enough?

Looks like it's ~200mm x 165mm right?

I can theoretically do 212 x 188 according to my configuration but I would have to check to see if I guesstimated those values the last time I upgraded my printer size. No matter which way I print it, supports would be needed which means there will be imperfect surfaces where they meet. I'm guessing that's ok since it will be screwed down with the bottom always hidden? I have water soluble filament which could work but it's really expensive and I haven't tried it on such a large surface area.

It looks like you already got it printed in the picture on grabcad? Or is that a PLA test print?

What's the overall plan with this? Print a one off for yourself? Selling them? Lot's of questions lol.

I'm needing a 1-off for my own vehicle. The gentleman I had previously bought 3D printed parts for my VX from does not have a printer large enough to do this piece. I do not know the person whose work this is.

Yes, this will be on the underside of a console lid, so not very visible. I don't know what the supports would look like, but if they are on the convex side of this piece, it will further minimize anything visible. In any event, the intent is to replace the broken piece which is currently barely attached to the console.

Ohhhh I see. I thought this was your design you uploaded. You mentioned colors. Would you want something other than black?

The supports just means that the next layer or so wouldn't be perfect. Sometimes it'l look stringy or have bumps/pieces that may need to be cut away/sanded a bit if they impede fitment.

I would prefer purple if possible, but I understand if that's too complex.

I can sand if needed. Again though, if there's a difference in finish between sides, the convex side will be hidden, so having the imperfections on that side will be preferred.
