98 3000GT Coolant tank question

the coolant tank is basically right behind and under the bumper. Using a flashlight i still cant see the coolant level. and the top curves out so if i take the cap off i cant see directly into the tank. Any other ways of checking my coolant level?

If you look at the tank with a flashlight you can see to horizontal lines on the tank representing min/max levels. I use a strong flashlight that illuminates my green/yellow coolant. If it's still hard to see the level try rocking the car a bit so the coolant moves around.

Hmm, does the 3rd gen tank not have a level sensor like the earlier tanks?

Not a bad idea. Something like the rear washer tank would work well.
