Greetings all,

I needed some new seats and since it's been awhile since there's been one of these I contacted leatherseats.com about coordinating a groupbuy. They happily obliged. All orders and payments will be coordinated directly with leatherseats.com at the conclusion of the group buy.

*Group buy will end the day before Thanksgiving, 11/24 (had to pick a date and it sound as good as any).

*After payment is received leatherseats.com estimates between 6-10 business days, if we get more than 10 it may take a bit longer though. There is no limit to the number of orders we can have and I will also be listing the group buy on 3si so that will hopefully help turnout.

*Pricing is below.

*If you have any questions let me know and I'll answer them or pass them along to leatherseats.com.

*Please do not add your name to the list if you either can't pay with a credit card or have the funds in your paypal.

*I will update the first post with a complete list of interested parties from both sites so everyone knows how many we have for the group buy.

*Sample requests need to provide Name, Address, Email, Year, Make, Model, Trim Level, Factory Interior Color, and Samples Desired to ericp@leatherseats.com

For those of you wondering about the quality/fitment of these kits, you WILL NOT be disappointed.

Yes, there is a bit of work involved, but nothing unmanagable.

I still love the seats in my Stealth after installing an "ivory" set from the very first Leatherseats.com group buy!!! (I thought IVORY was closer to the original color than Sandstone, but that was just my opinion [DO NOT be afraid to ask for samples!!!!!]).

What colors do you want to see side by side? As for the price we wont know an exact price until we know how many people we have doing the group buy. You should be able to figure out the price of the additional features you requested from the chart above though. I'll ask if they have any pictures of sandstone with yellow perforated suade center(if they do it may be from a different car).

She has been parked outside in the Texas sun for years and the leather still looks brand new. Still one of my favorite mods.

leatherseats.com does not have a picture of an interior with the requested color combination because they have never done it before. I'm sure if you request samples(I've updated the main post with the details) you can compare them for yourself or Eric can send you a picture.

+1 on this being an amazing kit. I installed it with no previous experience and it turned out great. If you buy this, you're going to love it - it's a good winter project too since it can be done inside!

I've got a set of these but haven't installed them. I wish I had another 3S so it would give me an excuse to get another set. :lol: The GB prices are much cheaper than I expected.

im trying to get 3 of my customers to jump in on this, I told them they have to the for mentioned day to pay. it that right?

Yeah. However many people we have the day before Thanksgiving determines how many people are in the group buy i.e. price.

You contact leatherseats.com to make payment, after receiving payment they start production. You get your seats a roughly 3 weeks later.

Is there a way that they can match a color to a paint code or something? I'd rather not have my car and the seats be two different tones of orange, haha.

Email Eric with the required information and your paint code. Since its not stock I don't know how well they'll be able to match it but at least with that information (and a picture of the car) he can probably send you a few samples that he thinks would be closest for you to decide which one you want.

I am getting color samples at the moment. The Super Saver prices are very enticing, but my wife isn't sold on the Sandstone, so may have to go full out with custom colors.

I dont know, why would they have to? Its a 3s group buy, the more participate the better for everyone cost wise. I'm just asking the question, I have my skins already.

I don't think what forum you belong to matters. This forum is organizing the NG and also the sponsor. They aren't excluding members from 3si. It's my understanding that one of the big issues that this forum is upset with 3si is because they pulled the ads for the NG.

GB are for the good of the 3s community, period. It saves US all money, and supports the vendors that support the platform, not a website. I can call leather-seats and post one for the 3si site too, but why? We have more buying power as a platform and everyone benefits.

Hey everyone sorry I've been MIA for awhile. I was closing on my new house and didn't have internet and was unpacking all week. The sale hasn't been posted over at 3SI yet because of some issues with my access to the GB forum. I've PMed the admin over there to get the issue resolved and there will be an add up shortly. I read through responses here and still don't see anyone committing to the GB 100% if this is incorrect let me know otherwise I don't have any names to add to the list.

For anyone interested, the Sandstone color is a VERY good match to our '94 OEM tan leather. We weren't sure what to pick when replacing the stock leather, but this color was pretty much dead on. Couldn't be happier! I know I searched for hours for this info, so if anyone is wondering this is the color to match the OEM tan (not the '97+ beige!).

The Super prices were very attractive, but my wife nixed the color options. When I ala cart everything, the prices really go up in a hurry, and now my car is in the shop :(

i just read through all of these posts. you really need to get in contact with leatherseats.com and get them to move the deadline. if you want to save money (20+ people) then you need to put the deadline in a timeframe where people are fine with spending money/have money to spend.

that deadline is after christmas is what im getting at. you are not going to get anyone to buy anything when everyone is worried about buying christmas presents for others much less themselves. truthfully you should make is sometime around when taxes come out to get the maximum amount. i know thats what my taxes will likely go to.

i was on the leather site yesterday, and it looked to me that the regular price for the off the self kit is 595.00, so saving 17.00 may not be enough to get people motivated 2 buy. Please correct me if i missed something.

That's an option as well. I for one am not in a hurry to get my seats and since 3SI is out of the picture for this, I'd rather wait until people can do it than try to hurry it along. We'll see how things come together here and I'll contact Eric if necessary.

How hard are these to install yourself? If I got them I'd definitely do the job myself, but I don't want to be in over my head. Unfortunately, like others have said, money is tight during the holidays, after tax season though I would probably be able to jump in on this since I think I'm getting a pretty hefty return.

At the speed this is coming together, I think I can just wait to jump in and bump it over the top - give myself a little time to mull color schemes...definitely interested, though.

Gonna do it myself, for sure - I believe I'll have some additional HD foam on hand to apply to the bolsters, etc., and fight the slight tendency of new covers to wrinkle there.

Forget that, buy a sheet of visco elastic foam and start adding foam back into all the areas that are worn out and you'll have yourself a contour foam car seat :D

@J2k4 - an easy way to get a sheet of contour foam is to just buy a cheap mattress topper (maybe $20 cheap?). They range anywhere from 1 inch thick to 16 inches thick. 1 inch is easy to work with can can be cut in half if you need only a half inch (it's a little tricky to do though lol)
