So , been awhile . I don't think I have logged in over 2 years ?
Bring some people up to speed , got married , been addicted to competitive CrossFit , sold stealth to get married ,spent a week in Iceland , had a slew of cars come and go between then and now most notably
-88 Mazda 323 gtx was a blast to drive
-13 focus st , started having engine issues when it hit 50k cut bait but a blast of a car
-84 Porsche 944 , meh fun wore out fast
Bought and as a few normal cars as well
-02 m3 , black on black SMG . Absolutely loved this car until a friend put it into a telephone pole
Now what I currently have
03 m3 silver on black 6sp
- mods
Rims , flash ecu , headers , axle back. Intake , front lip , tein lowering springs for now
14 Ford fusion - blah
95 tsi awd talon - shit box I just picked up and will be getting most of my attention
And the wife has a f150 I use to go pick up new shit boxes
Pics will follow , but the gist of this will be to keep tabs on stuff I am doing . I have a crap work space and the bmw has its permanent home in it .
Bmw will be getting some coil overs soon , rear control arms , toe eliminators and brake upgrade .
The tsi will be getting .... Well a new engine the thing came to me in pieces but with a new king block almost ready to drop in . The front bumper is shit , the interior is dirty , rear wheel bearings are some of the worst I have ever seen . And its missing a radio.
But with some luck and work I can save this Mitsubishi from the scrap yard where I'm sure it was destined.

My wife is calling the talon purchase " easily the worst decision I have ever made "
It annoys her so Everytime I open the back door I say , holy crap a talon or start pointing out shit that's wrong

Few hours later . Took some time to delete evap. Fuel and boost solenoids and extra crap . Probably deleting ac/cruise/power steering as the rack has a decent leak the ac system has been sitting open and maybe save the cruise idk yet .
Anyone have a big 16g for cheap I can throw on here :)

Anyone have any experience adapting cas sensors in dsm ? Apparently the engine I have is a 97+ and has a cas on the valve cover . the engine and wiring for the car is a 95 -96 with cam sensor on the cam shaft sprocket . So I need to adapt the 95 plug to the 97 sensor . Both are three wire , simple as power , ground and signal ? I hear you have to change the firing order on the coil pack when doing this because the ecu fires it in a different order

Sad to say upon removing the spindles front and rear I have run into some serious frame cancer on the old girl . Fate is being weighed upon at the moment

Yea I'ma members on most of the. From back when I had my drag talon . I had a guy make me an offer on the talon and another on the engine . Actually came out 500$ ahead.
And then the bmw shit a water pump , so I did the logical thing.... Ordered a water pump. Front and rear brake pads and rotors , ss brake lines , new shocks and struts ....

Struts and shocks haven't come yet , I honestly went against buying a 1k$ set of coils in favor of standard stuff . For one I don't track like you guys just spirited driving and for the drop in and go ability I figured It would be easier

So I tackled the water pump today. Really surprising easy . I would equate it to a old small block Ford water pump . Only nuance is the rad does not have a pet cock . Also managed to track down my oil leak , which is coming from the vanos solenoids . Had done valve cover earlier this year thinking that was it .
So new water pump , t stat, clutch fan and pentosin coolant . Only two fluids that have not been changed on the car now are brake ( soon rbf600) and power steering .
Also found a slightly loose inner tie rod .... Never ends.
My rear shocks have shown up but not the new top mounts . The new struts have not shipped yet so that stuff will most likely get pushed off till winter so I can enjoy the car a bit before .

Yes rancho shocks ! Long story short but they perform on par if not better than Bilstein adjustables at 1/4 the price and have more piston area . The shocks are actually "for " a Toyota Tacoma .
On a side not I have been hand laying sticker bomb to my bicycle as I get them

The Vanos solenoids like to leak as well as the oil filter housing gaskets. Thank god they are on top where they are easy to change.

Got the vanos service kit this week and spent some time today removing. Cleaning and re sealing the unit. Hopefully the issues are fixed ! Here's some required pictureshttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161016/e5998b87a42f841b827f09cfa485c3b4.jpg

Old gasket vs new , probably some leaking going on . Filter was dirty but not plugged for the vanos as well

Seems like there is always something to do on the m3 ... Had a rattling noise coming from the rear . Found a broken hanger on the axle back muffler . Need to take it to welding shop and have it fixed because it's stainless.
Started in on the rear suspension and brake upgrade. And holy shit these wheels have not been off in awhile . So corroded onto the hub or took a pry bar between the rim and brake caliper on each side. And my snap on electric impact wouldn't touch the wheel bolts....
The rear shocks were so toast you could compress them by hand and they would not rebound unless you pulled them apart haha . Out in the new rancho units , upgraded shock mounts cleaned all the brake slides and hardware. Put on the left rear ss brake line , pads and rotors and bled that corner. Won't get to the right side brakes tonight . http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161030/552aa2f2abc681d3a9d2491745003748.jpg
