Short shifter

Does a short shifter really helps you when drag racing ? Any experience drivers ?? I'm thinking about getting one

I much prefere mine on the 1st Gen (they have a really long throw!).

I've missed maybe 2 shifts in all the years and miles and racing on the Stealth. SO yeah, as long you know how to drive a manual properly, you'll be fine.

No matter how good you are, if you are driving a manual, you will miss a shift at some point. The short throw shifter makes it even easier to miss, especially going into third.

Ive never driven with a short throw shifter, I was thinking of buyin one from 3sx, the best one, but it sounds like it could make me lose a race as of shifting quicker.

No, it won't make you lose any races. Might help you shift quicker. But the margin of error on a miss is even less. That's it.

Tks,, for the opinions,, I drove my friends 3s he has one.. It feels way different, but quick as hell goin into gears,, I like it, but got to get use to it. I think ill buy, any particular one,, 3sx has like 3 different ones,, ill just buy the $159

I've got an old school cheap one from 3kgtmotorsports. I've never had the pleasure of driving a 3s with one of the bearing shifters.

Got it, installed it,, tested it, not impressed,, it shift smoothly , but not as short of a throw that I exspected,, (bearing loaded shifter.)
