So, as seen in my other thread my HD crapped out on my PC. I gave it to a friend to try to revive so I can retrieve files, but in the meantime before I buy something else I grabbed an old pc from my closet that used to belong to my brother. It had been years since it was fired up, so needless to say it needed lots of updates.
In the process it started running out of memory and I realized the already small 40GB HD was partioned. I looked up how to rejoin the two portions and have hit a roadblock.
I went to the disk manager and deleted the files on the 2nd partition and it is now unallocated, but when I click on the main partition there is no option to extend the drive.
I did some more searching and saw something about dynamic drives, but was out of time and had to leave.
Can someone point me in the right direction so I will at least have a semi usable PC until I can get my new one? Once I'm done with it I'd like to set it up for my niece and nephew to use.
