So looks like this new CXRacing downpipe is pretty nice, an not a bad price either, but what I don't get is why the 2nd wideband sensor is located underneath the rear turbo pip an not on the rear turbo downpipe section, It would seem to me the rear wideband is going to be reading mixed gasses an not just the rear turbo.
Im in the market for a downpipe, about to pull the trigger on this, is something else available for the same price or close?

Link?
Exhaust (by the downpipe) should not have any mixed gasses... not up that far in the system... unless you have a leak between the heads/o2 housings or o2 housings and downpipe.

no im just talking about the rear wideband location, I don't understand why its not on the rear downpipe section where it can read just the rear,

Because it's not for a wideband... It's a place to screw in the Cali spec post cat O2 sensors.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

So Im at the same stage in my build (99vr4)... working on the full exhaust. Looking at the DPs available (3SX, CR, Faberge, Tanabe, etc) I noticed that a lot of them have the rear turbo pipe connecting into the front pipe like the CR. The 3sx and the Faberge have both pipes meeting as equals. in my mind I'm thinking this will make a difference in balancing the back pressure between the two (maybe I'm just making it all up though) I'm actually thinking about the Faberge as it will replace the front pre-cat vs the 3sx does not.
For the rest of the system i'm planning to use:
1. 3SX rear precat elim
2. RT or Magnaflow Cat (any recommendations?)
3. Either the Faberge built (I think its Faberge anyway) quad tip exhaust or the Tanable Touring.
Anyone have recommendations on the Cat back? I don't want to go with the wide open Tanabe Blue, but still want as unrestrictive exhaust as possible. I have heard about complaints on the Borla at highway speeds. The Faberge looks really nice from the back and much closer to the sleeper look i'm going for, but Im worried about the additional about 220% in bend for the passenger exhaust...

Why are you replacing the OEM catback? Weight or for performance?

Planning my build to take the car to around 500AWHP....so focus is performance, but weight reduction is always good! Exhaust is the first step, but looking at the 19T or DR-650 turbos (considered the 16T, but doesn't appear that they will get me to where I want to be?)

OEM Catback will be fine to 500AWHP+, with negligible performance loss.

Ray has shown a 20hp loss between stock exhaust and open downpipe... at 700 AWHP

OEM sounds better than 90% of the stuff out there

I have heard that the OE exhaust was pretty good. Only concern is that I need to replace it anyway as it has some rust coming through the muffler and through the pipe to the passenger outlets. If I'm going to replace it anyway I want to make sure I get good catback.
Have you are anyone heard any good or bad on the Faberge quad tip? Saw a review saying it had bad highway drone...

Understood. I've only heard their old version and never rode in the car. TT4ME has a newer one, try PMing him.
