Here it is ladies and gents! I decided to make a new thread for this phase/build/setup.

Previously, we were at 620AWHP VD SAE (650AWHP U/C) @32psi on 93/110L+Meth. Ambitious goal is to approach and/or crack the 700whp mark.

RE the path far less traveled E85+Meth: This is something that I have been setting up a few 3/S down here for too, so Dmitri is unintentionally the guinea pig. Pump-E85 just recently became available to him, AND the damn manufacturing facility is TWO (2) miles away from the station LOL! $1.91/gal beats our local $3.59 currently (was low 3's before summer hike).

Some of the notable changes in the setup include: Wiseco 92.5mm 0.060" over, BC625 rods w/ 0.200" wrist pins, Ray's headlift fix, PST 1-piece CFDS, CF 575, Tanabe Hyper Medallion Touring, and newer HKS EVC 6 EBC. PTE680's have been upgraded to RC1000's, and we still make use of the AEM WMI v1 with 1000cc jet.

First pull's (second gear) results on E85+Meth! 471AWHP VD SAE (485 U/C) w/ DR750's @ 23psi - mild boost and timing. We were JUST getting started too!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/AzNFLiPBoiPiNoY/3kGT/Dmitri_94TT/Dmitri_DR750_Second_23psi_471AWHP_E85_Meth_zpsbktf xlsc.png

Today's final tuning results: 657AWHP//681AWTQ VD SAE (+14//15 U/C) w/ DR750's @29psi on E85+Meth. Amazing. We will resume going after the world record after taking a moment to do a thorough inspection/checkpoint.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/AzNFLiPBoiPiNoY/3kGT/Dmitri_94TT/Dmitri_DR750_Third_29psi_657AWHP_E85_Meth_zpscs24j uhc.png

Just like last year, the vehicle weight IS correct per actual scale, and all numbers are SAE corrected for ambient temp and atmospheric pressure (U/C also included for others' comparative purposes). Trap speed will be acquired later once everything is completed and plans are made.

Vids to come soon!

ALSO, special thanks and shout out to Jeremy and Traci for their Ohio team support and coverage! :D I will eventually make a trip out there to hang out with everyone and to finally drive this beast.

Thanks for reading!

Dmitri and the Ohio crew (Traci, Jeremy, etc.) finally made a safe and solid trip to the track this Friday, July 22nd!

Also, NO launching whatsoever! Just rolled out from the tree heh... and he still managed to break an axle! =X

As Nomie noted, I tuned from a "remote" location, although technically, it was an e-mail tune (lots of coordination, communication, and planning) since I was not actually remotely connected to his computer. He is only one of two people that I make this exception for since I met him and first tuned his car in-person at the UMG 2014; we finished his car last year via e-mail too. Originally, the plan was to fly out to Ohio during Spring, but I still want to take a trip there one of these days.

I will say that Mark's and my VR-4's "aggressive" tune does not go beyond 26*. I will follow-up with your question once Dmitri revs out to 8k lol.

Also, futurevr4man, if you want to see aggressive timing numbers, Trevor was pretty open about sharing his timing advance data when he had his evoIII 16g setup with meth/93 and meth/c16.

I've also got a few of my timing maps floating around but they're super conservative..:D

looking forward to the 8k pulls Alan..

Another good point of reference are the threads where people questioned Chris/NP about his personal tune (old one anyway). Y'all will have to dig - no spoon feeding lol.

Me too haha! His car really sings up top. Yours does too =P

Here is an important exchange of dialogue between Matt and me on the other board:

Time for AEM, right? lol jay kay... sort of...

With how the MAF-T messes with the values, you can get around the the limit... you just have to get tricky with the tuning. A conversion table in Excel would be of benefit... :suspect:

Yes, this was brought up as well, and it does not appeal to me at all.

Chris "Forest", Matt, and then me:

I've hit more Hz numbers and load numbers than that without hitting cut. 3800+ and 296+ IIRC

Last I heard, the limit that Greg thought existed was incorrect all along. I openly admit that I am quite rusty on all of this though... I haven't messed with, or looked at, the tune on my car in years. Hoping he can chime in on this... I'll text him.

But worst case... there IS a workaround...

If you make it out to Ohio, please make it public knowledge, or at least let me know. Would love to shoot the BS! (I live in Dayton ATM)

lol last July, we hit 3947 and 294.x, so it is not that. However Matt said it sounds best. We may or may not try this band-aid workaround since he is now off from work.

And yes, I will definitely make it public if/when I head there (or anywhere else out-of-state with or without Mark lol!)

Just be careful the fuel cut is not actually pre-ignition. You may have to run a 9 or even a 10 series plug pushing these turbos that hard.

There seems to be some confusion. The stock MAF loses count around 425-450whp. Can't remember the exact hz anymore. Might have been 2600hz.

The code itself should be good for 6400hz. You run out of load though. Not that this is a big deal honestly. It just sit and collects the base timing value off the edge of the map.

ECU advanced to 26* at 6.7k and held that solid up through 7.5k :courage: That is about all that I will say though lol =P

Thanks for the info, Greg.

Can't see the vid at work :/

But my gut was correct... there is no limit. I am genuinely curious what the F/C is now. Are you spraying so much meth that you are drowning out the flame front?

The F/C was definitely a random fluke, but it was real in the logs for the duration that it plagued us.

We DID trump our numbers yesterday, but I am waiting until tomorrow to post up a more detailed update when Dmitri will make a hopeful attempt to get the EVC6 to hit 32+. There is still plenty of fuel available to crack that 700 mark lol. He honestly admitted that the car is both satisfying, smooth, and scary as-is, so he is personally content.

Hehe glad that y'all enjoyed it! :smug:

C&P:

Dmitri ran into a pack of various, modified Corvettes at the recent Woodward Dream Cruise. Among them were C7 and the ones before; I believe that only two were faster (FI?) with some getting spanked. Hopefully I did not misunderstand and hype this by accident haha! I do know that videos were recorded, so that will be a fun one to share whenever we get around to it.

In other news though: I believe the dragstrip visit will be next month! At a minimum, I am hoping for 126-128 on the shakedown. I will be ecstatic if he can manage a 130+ and 10's in the end!
