I normally wouldn't do something like this, but I'll make an exception.
I heard about this boy in Maryland. He's turning 8 years old, and from what I understand he's terminally ill due to some sort of brain cancer. His only wish for his 8th birthday is to have as many birthday cards as he can.
So, all I'm asking is (if you feel inclined to do so) for you guys to pick up a birthday card for this kid and send it to him. You can even just get one of those cheap .99 cent cards, it doesn't have to be anything crazy.
I'm not sure when his exact birthday is, it's around Oct 23rd.
His name is Hunter. Here's the address you can send the cards to:
Hunter Scott
c/o Jessica Koehn
Box 278
St. Leonard, MD 20685
I figure, if a bunch of birthday cards can make a kids day, why not!! :)

Did you get this in an email? Not sure if I believe it's true. I looked on snopes and didn't find anything though.

It wasn't from an email. My wifes aunt is very involved with her church, and the boy is a friend of a friend with someone she goes to church with. Members from their church are sending cards as well. You won't find anything about it on the internet. :)

I'm part of a group that makes handmade cards for folks and this was the email I got yesterday in regards to the same boy. I'll send mine out this week.
Mission 673: Requested by several
I have received three different request for this special little boy. Here is what a friend of mine sent:
My husband just told me about a little boy and I wanted to pass along his story in case anyone wants to help. He is the son of a Marine in the area who is about to turn seven. Unfortunately, he has cancer and doctors say he won't live more than a few months past his seventh birthday. When his dad asked him what he wants for his birthday, the only thing he wants is lots and lots of birthday cards. His dad told him he would get him anything in the world he wanted, and all he wants is a lot of birthday cards. His birthday is October 23 ( I think) so they need to be mailed ASAP ladies!!!!!

Update: Ok so according to the facebook page (thanks KisaTrtle) his condition is not as severe. I am unsure what to do now, if you have not or do not wish to send a card no worries. I am sure he would still love to have cards if you want but please just make them birthday cards I guess. I hate when this happens, I should have checked more I am so sorry ladies.
Hope that helps anyone with concerns or wanting more info.
