Ok so I was driving down the highway last night and started to gert a thunking noise that sounded like it was comming from behind the drivers seat. I thought maybe I blew a tire. Stopped and all the tires were ok. Started driving again and it came back. Its speed dependent. I got the car towed home and looked at it today. On the inner half shaft, the uper cv joint was destroyed. i thought ok cool. Swapped out the inner half shaft and test drove it. Problem was still there. I got under the car and noticed I have some decent vertical play in the carrier bearings but couldn't get it to make contact with anything or any noise or see where it was making contact. Before this I would get a single thunk when I would take off. I did try the zip tie fix on the carriers but it didnt fix it. Do you think its the carrier bearings

Check the first uni joint on the tail shaft. The one just after the transfer case. Mine failed and caused bad vibrations. I also had shuddering and thumping when my rear engine mount went.

So my half shaft was completely destroyed. I finally got a key for my lugs today. Took the tires off to look at the breaks. Nothing. So I put the tire on and drove it for my room mate to listen, NOTHING. So all I can think is all the vibration was enough to loosen the tire. I dunno since it felt solid.
