Having a heavy battle with a non releasing pressure plate...round 3

Getting 3 inches of free play at the top of the clutch pedal before it even starts to build pressure. Rod adjusted all the way out for max throw.

The pedal assembly seems nice and tight. It seems like it is inside the booster where the play is at? I have the booster removed and capped off btw.

You don't want the rod adjusted all the way out. You want the rod adjusted to where you only have like 9/16 of an inch of free play. That number is off the top of my head and could be completely wrong. There is exact numbers in the owners manual of how to measure and how much it should be.

But with the rod all the way out there should be less free play. He has it maxed and has 5x what the FSM says he should have. Hark, I have no idea man.

Yea that's what im saying. The more it's adjusted in the more free play.

Do you think it's possible the rod coming out of the booster is snapped or bent?

Havr you had the m/c off the booster to have a look?, there's a service measurement for the booster rod protrusion and if this is out to far the master cylinder will not re-prime..
