I did not know where to put this so would an Admin please put this in the correct place!

A lot of you who are my friends on Facebook have already heard the news. About a month ago I was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma. Yes, the very same thing as Chris Hill. Although shocked, I somehow found solace in the knowing that Chris had paved the way in this. He has very helpful in teaching me this disease. I am unable to work and have no insurance. I have a fiance and an 8 year old girl who is partially relying on me. I am just throwing this out there. if anyone could help I would be ever grateful. Any little bit helps.

I know I can beat this as Chris has told me several times that I can. I trust him and I trust that the same love and kindness this forum showed him may be merciful to help me. I will repay theses acts of kindness someday. That is my promise to you! I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If anyone wants to help...my gofundme page is Help me fight multiple myeloma by Pauly Perl - GoFundMe (http://www.gofundme.com/dtnzpo)

You go, Paul.

Been going through a few in my family, too - lost a favorite niece a short time back, and my older sister's sore back turned into a stage IV situation in May.

Best to your and yours - do as Chris also does, and keep us informed as best you can?

Prayers and thoughts-

Kevin

I'm just throwing a bit here, and a bit there at him. I know all helps in his situation.

I have some updated numbers! For those who are following my status with my Cancer.

my HGB is now 11.7 was (10.8 low) range is 12-18
my HCT is now 34.2 was (33.1 low) range is 37-51
my RDW is high 16.7 range is 11.5-14.5
my WBC are low 5.6 (2.6 low) range is 4.1-10.9

My immunoglobulin A is now 4000 was 8441 (high) range is 91-414
My M-spike was 7.5, and is now 0, it is supposed to be 0 Yay!
My Kappa/Lamda Ratio is 19 high was 54.62 Range is .26-1.65

As you can see, I am reacting well to the chemo. I am optimistic but I am not out of the woods, these numbers could go back up in a heartbeat. But I believe it's because of the support and the prayers I am getting that that will stay low! Thank you so so much!

The next step is after my next break from chemo is to go to Indianapolis to see a specialist to review my treatment plan.

Just letting anyone who's following this thread how I am doing. I am in my third cycle of chemo. My numbers are looking great. I went down to Indy and spoke with the bone marrow transplant specialist. He said everything was looking good for my transplant. They are scheduling it for just after the new year. I am nervous but I have faith in these drs. Again I want to thank all of you that have been so gracious in helping me through this rough time. Know this, it will come back around.

Thanks

here's an update my numbers have seemed to plateau. They are good, just seemed to stop dropping. They were going to stop chemo but have decided to maintain the treatments until further notice. I am optimistic for this year. we will see what it holds! May all of you have a wonderful new year!
