Pretty cool! At some angles I'm not real sure I like it but then other angles it looks fantastic.

Looks like a car that will have to grow on me a bit to fully like it. Something about how the exhaust area bulges out looks odd.

Looks neat, won't ever look like that in production. No way that's enough airflow up front--at least not for any kind of turbochargers.

Now Mitsu has no choice but to bring the 3000GT back and build a targa top so it can be in Fast N Furious 9.

Now Mitsu has no choice but to go bankrupt.

Mitsu Motors is owned by Mitsu Heavy Industries. MHI could bankroll it if they wanted to. $5Billion (US) gross profit in 2013 if my quick google skills are accurate.

Even Mitsu Motors is making money (nearly $1B) now with record profits in 2014. They could do a flagship loss leader if they wanted to.

Yes please. Electric, hybrid, TT, whatever.

A fully electric GT Tesla competitor would be sweet.

umm no we definitely don't want an eclectic car if they're going to bring back the 3000gt then it has to be in the spirit of the 3000gt that means a twin turbo charged v6 awd sports car!

This! not to mention any electric car adds $40K, makes the fuel savings look like a booger. That's what pisses me off about hybrid/electric cars, they are ripping people off. When I worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory we had electric cars that didn't cost dick and got 80-100mi range. Just a scam! I still plan to build one and use it as an example.

Have you driven a 9b car? ;) can't keep the drivetrain in it with a good launch anyway.

Because electric cars are slow right?

simpler to add dr750s and a 3.5 lol.

Theoretically an electric spool turbo would actually be simpler than swapping engine + turbos

I thought we were building a car here? It isn't harder for them to use an 85.8mm stroke or run a larger compressor wheel. Even the TiAL turbine would cheap in the volume a major manufacturer could push.
