Hey Guys,

In tacking down a transmission leak I found my half-shaft seal to be the issue. Once I pulled the inner shaft I found the "ring" on the splines that go into the transmission to be bent. Is this part still available to replace? I tried bending it back into shape but would rather replace it if possible.

That's part of the seal and should have been pressed into the bell housing and shouldn't come out easily. Buy a new seal from Supercar or Ninja and press it into the bell housing.

I have a new oem seal and it definitely does not have the metal ring on it, do I need to order it separately?

My axle doesnt even have that on it. That is definitely part of the axle though. No problems with leaking on the drivers side. Pass side axle seal is messed up though=/.

It's usually on FWD cars only. Rarely have I seen it on an AWD car.

This is on a FWD I should have mentioned that.
