I have a 98 SL ECU for $250 shipped. Not chromed yet, but It's flashable. You would have to have a hotwired fuel pump and an aftermarket boost gauge. I also have a 99 clone ECU for $450.

And if you have a 1g I can include an adapter harness for another $100.
