Let's hear your preferences. Keep in mind, I have no plans on conflicting with the NG. I plan on going next year, so trying to plan a WCNC and getting the car ready for the NG wont happen. In the past, we held it in Sept. and Oct. The weather was never an issue. I think 92 deg. was the hottest we ever saw. My preference would still be sometime in the fall. What do you think?

You could alway stay at the "New York, New York" if you get home sick. :-)

Next fall would be good. I'm not a big Vegas fan, but at least it would be close for everyone. I personally like gatherings in smaller, off-the-beaten-path, towns. I can understand how Vegas would be easier though.

I like oct it was a good time of year, plus it gives you almost a year to plan.

Yeah I'd late Sept. early Oct. Tom. Makes easier on everyone if there isn't a huge change.

Ditto!

End Sept. Early Oct. so to not conflict with blood in the woods...

FYI. As a local here in Vegas September can still see many 100+ days and this year the last week (5 days) of September it was 97 & 98 degrees every day. Mid October is always the best temperature wise here and guaranteed not to be hot. After November 1st it can turn cold very quickly.

P.S. Vegas only has about 100,000 hotel rooms available.

We held the first 2 WCNC's in mid Sept. and the weather was high 80's both times. Besides, we have an agreement with the Palace Station to be able to use the 5th floor of the parking garage for our car show if the weather was too hot or it rained. We never had to move off the top floor.

I have no problem with Palace Station 5th floor. Was there for the 2008 gathering and there were no weather problems. This last year was much hotter than the previous several years though. September should work fine.

fall september october is good for us. Tom what was the reason you guys did it in Las Vegas? It seems LA would be a more centralized area for 3S no? More of a 3S base? Just curious.

You guys should come to Reno/Tahoe for the WCNC. :) It's about as central to the west coast as you can get.

As long as it is after Labor Day and before November. Somewhere a little north of LA would be nice too.

Either at the Grand Sierra or Boomtown!

I still have connections with Palace Station and they're very accommodating to our needs. They allow us to pretty much take over the top floor of their parking garage for three days and have our car show there.
What we need is someone with connections to LVMS, or someone willing to take them on. From past experience, they're difficult to get a hold of, not good at letting the people at the track know what's going on and the people that you talk to are never around when the event happens.
