3D printed cam lockers

I borrowed my little brothers 3D printer while he visited me this christmas and made some 3D printed cam lockers. It took six tries before I had a 3D model that fit and lots of hours to print them but I a made few sets and offered them on the GTOOC (http://www.gtooc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=9614) and 3000gt.se (http://forum.3000gt.se/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=2427&start=0) forums.

The initial batch quickly sold out so I asked my brother to print a few more sets and I'm now offering these to 3SGTO members for 22$ a set. That includes worldwide shipping.

It's actually a mix of different parts some purchased, some homemade. The printer was built a few years ago when there few kits available. I think the parts and kits available today are superior in both quality and price.

According to the website of the Swedish postal service it's supposed to take 4-6 days if I send them as a first class priority letter which is what I normally do. So they might get to you in time if I send them tomorrow but I can't guarantee it.

It's very strange that your set hasn't arrived yet. All the packages I've sent have my address on the back clearly labeled as sender so in case there was a delivery problem they should have been returned to me.

However I just got a new batch from my brother today so if your set doesn't arrive by next week I'll send you another one.

This is doesn't sound good at all :( If anyone else here haven't received their sets then please make a post in this thread or send me a PM.

I'll package new sets for all of you who haven't received your sets by Saturday and send them on Monday.

I'd really like to know why the sets sent to the US disappear on the way. They are sent in padded envelopes with computer printed labels for both recipient and sender and a big load of postage stamps. Most of them have been sent on different dates which makes this even more odd.

Maybe I need some kind of label on the envelopes for the customs or DHS.

From what I can gather your set is the only one that has reached the US and it arrived within a week. Some people in this thread been waiting for over 20 days now.

They are sent as a first class priority letter which has no tracking unfortunately. Sending them with the cheapest tracking option would quadruple the cost of the shipping.

Well having done lots of international shipping let me pipe in. place an 5 copies of an invoice on the outside of each envelope. Since the tracking will run up the costs, if you place an invoice saying these are zero value samples for evaluation, them customs will release them faster.

If there is claimed value the end recipient might end up owing some sort of VAT. If you do this do not mention they were sold...claim zero value on a marked up invoice to the customer on record who you're sending it to.

UPDATE: Still nothing in the mail yet. C'mon customs, release these things already!!

It seems that only 2 of the 13 sets I've sold here on 3SGTO have reached their destination so tonight I spent two hours printing new labels and packaging 11 new sets of cam lockers. This time I've added a hand signed CN22 customs form on the back of each padded envelope for the customs to read.

Thanks for the patience everyone. I've sold quite a few of these in europe and they've all arrived within a week so this caught me completely by surprise. I'd also like to thank everyone who's PM'ed with tips and tricks regarding how to ship these to the US.

Your set shipped within a day or two after I received the payment so it must been lost in transit. I sold the last set of cam lockers I had in stock a few days ago but my brother is sending me a new batch next week. As soon as they arrive I'll send you another set. I'll let you know when the second set has been sent, they usually take between 7 and 14 days to arrive in the US.
