So as some of you may know, I was able to finally pick up a set of OEM front seats for my car to replace the crappy cloth, cheapo racing seats that were in it when I bought the car.

Anyways, they had a ton of washers (no lie!) "shimming" the outside seat rails to compensate for the propeller shaft tunnel. Since the OEM ones were built to accommodate the tunnel, I won't need to use any washers/shims underneath the rails, correct?

Unfortunately for the handful of cars that I've been in with factory seats, I never thought to look to see if the factory used any washers/shims on them at all.

Any help is appreciated.

Nope no washers for shimming. Only washers were under the bolts IIRC.

Awesome, I figured that was how the factory did them, but figured I'd double check just to be sure.

Thanks guys!!

And yes, the rails were stockers that someone had welded onto the crappy cloth racing buckets...My "new" ones are 100% OEM seat rails & frames (have been recovered in the past).
