It has two rope lights in it. I have two red ones I'm thinking of putting in also. I'm going to put plex glass in the bottom, I'll get that tomorrow.

It looks a lot better in person.

Pictures 4 and 5, the skulls at the ends still have booze in them. In pics 1, 2 and 3, the skulls are empty. Did you post your pics in reverse order? I guess if you drank both of those, I should be impressed you could post at all!! :tongue:

ha ha I wondered if somebody would notice. A friend gave me this "cream sickle moonshine" today, it was nasty as hell so I put it in the sculls for aesthetic reasons but I figure if somebody looses against me in darts they have to take a shot from the scull.

Well it's done, I got the plex glass installed and attached the sides.

This is the part that I was concerned about. Didn't we pretty much empty every bottle there last time?

So I have one issue, the rope lights get too hot. After about 4 hours I can smell the plex-glass. So I want to install a PC fan on one side and a hole on the other to keep it cool. Any ideas how to wire that up? Or should I find a small 120volt fan instead? Just looking for ideas

Could you not do it with LED lights instead which won't get hot? Perhaps some strings of christmas lights now that the holiday is over could be had really cheap with LED bulbs?

LED might work but the rope lights are probably cooler than standard x-mas lights.

Edit: Are LED that much cooler?

How about some 12 volt automotive LED strips? They're fairly cheap and you can pick them up at a Pep Boys or Auto Zone. You'll have to get small battery charger to run them off of.

They have 120v PC fans........at radio shack actually. I had to buy a few to cool some large amps for a home theater once.

Any pc fan can be hard wired into a 12v ac adapter. I make desk fans apl the time for fun out of pc fans and 12v power supplies I havelaying around.

Yes Paul, LEDs are significantly cooler than incandescent bulbs. Hard wiring PC fans into a 12v AC adapter isn't difficult, just not sure if that's what you want to do. Depends on how comfortable you are with it. Or you could be super lazy and buy this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812123309) It'll let you run a few fans off of it. Really just up to you as to which way you want to take it. I may actually be upgrading the fans on my PC again soon, if so, I could give you a couple of the old ones.

led's generate almost no heat at all--even compared to fluorescent. LED xmas lights are usually the way to go, unless you can find LED rope lighting for roughly the same price. Big Lots, for example, sells LED xmas lights for like $5 a strand or something stupidly low; I bought a couple sets to accent my room while I was downrange. I can swear by them.

I actually have some of those and also a few of those 12v neon tubes for PC's. A buddy is going to tell me how to use an old PC to make a 12v power supply. If those aren’t bright enough I’ll pick up some LED x-mas lights.

Thanks, it has all that but the poker table. I plan on getting one that folds up but haven't yet. I didn't have room for it before because my electric drums were in there but I've moved it out so that area is free for the table. I'll try and get more pics tonight.
