Mitsubishi 3000GT Crawls Under School Bus (http://www.ridelust.com/mitsubishi-3000gt-crawls-under-school-bus/)
Crazy! I guess those bars under the back of the bus aren't very strong or this dude was flying. Amazing they walked away.

It WAS a 99 SOHC.
I'm guessing the bus was stopped, the driver of the car was flying and not paying attention and went right under.
yeah, i would have guessed 99 base model. agreed with what brian posted. on a side note--just to piss off the 'murica crowd yet again--europe seems to have much stricter regulation about bumper height on vehicles. i.e. semi's & bus's all have considerably lower bumpers than their stateside counterparts. while that won't prevent an impact, it does allow for a 3000gt's crumple zones to take effect...rather than allowing the car to wedge itself under a taller vehicle.

I will tell you that there HAD to be super excessive speeds involved there. I rearended a tri-axle at 60 mph and didn't go under like that 3000GT did to that bus.
Did you catch both windshield rails or just one like this car?

I didn't go under near as far as this car. That is why I am saying there had to be super excessive speeds involved.
Reason I was asking about the two rails is this car only hit one... So I'd imagine it would take less force to crush/bend it than if it had hit both.

School buses must be exempt from having rear drop bumpers to prevent crazy shit like mr. texter- I think due to the central positioned single rear axle & the fact that they travel around rural areas dropping kids off, that a drop bumper would be a bottom-out issue.

shiens. i've seen eurospec bus's navigate through residential areas of athens. what's athens like? picture the steepest parts of cincinnati, single-lane roads and cars parked on BOTH sides of it. bluebirds are just POS.

Think he was trying to make a targa top? I think the missing lug nut on the rear driver's side wheel may have caused this? Maybe an effective and cheap way to lower the car?
On a more serious note how the hell did he make it out alive? The rear bumper is against the head rest.. Did he duck or something?
