Yes its for an evo.

Alright peeps I am baffled by my issue which some of you may not see as an issue haha.

For some reason I have no regulated boost, my Hallman MBC is all the way in, I removed the external gate today and took it apart to see if it was binding which it wasn't(im able to open it by hand) but for some random reason everytime I get on the throttle the boost gauge maxes out.

I have the gauge Tee'd into the stock FPR.
The MBC is on the wastegate and a fitting in the compressor housing.

Does anyone have any ideas that I can take a look into??

For those wondering mods are:
2.3L stroker with stock 4G64 crank, Manley H beam rods, Manley Pistons
Agency Power T3 manifold/o2 housing
Garrett DBB GT3582R with .62 a/r housing
Turbonectics Evolution series 38MM wastegate

That should suffice for mod list, but if you want more let me know.

James

Air compressor to the waste gate to make sure working.

opens at around 15ish psi on the air compressor(probably lower as I have air leak at the quick release fitting at end of hose)

Put the air compressor on the other side of the MBC, and see if it's working... You know the gate opens at 15(ish), so put pressure to the inlet side to simulate actual boost, and see how much you have to give it to make it open.

I use that exact method to baseline boost controllers in the shop bay before they ever hit the street...

That was an accident....

I had a moment of derrrrr and it was set wrong. When we over boosted tho I think it was plumbed wrong

So drove to work today and she sat right at around 15PSI which is around where I wanted it.

Still have a slight almost miss while WOT, im thinking it is probably spark blow out as its very slight and its not hard like fuel cut, and besides the WB is reading around 10.7-11.5 while there(kinda hard to watch WB, boost gauge, and road at the same time in 2nd/3rd gear).

If it is spark there is a nifty how to thread on evo forums about making a DIY coil-on-plug set up using honda/toyota coils and then check that out as the stock set up isnt that great imho.

But first Im going to build a boost leak tester and figure out my leak points and make my lower intercooler piping more bill friendly.

I wouldnt exactly say bill was "under" the evo... more like cuddling with the front bumper....

I dont think those pictures would have been safe for viewing at work
