i can't see the name of threads i open on this site when i have them tabbed. the title "3000GT / Stealth / GTO" is far too long in the browser tab to actually display the actual tab label which follows the site name.

can we please just get this shortened to "3SGTO" or something?

thanks!

Hover over the tab and it shows. Alan added the 3000GT/Stealth/GTO to the tab as a suggestion because it makes us more googleable.

really? the tab heading is what google searches, not content? f-me sideways!

Google crawls through the whole website as a whole. Having enough characters in the title makes it more searchable in multiple search engines and better SEO.

well is there any way i can have it display something abbreviated? having to "mouse over" crap is a lot more time consuming than seeing the label to begin with. especially when i have ~9 tabs open (which is normal).

I'm with inperfect. It's annoying.

I'm not a vBulletin guy, but can it be added AFTER the thread title?

sounds like a winning suggestion to me.

I can move it to the end.

I don't think that will make a search difference.

^That sounds like a good idea Alan :). Even though I open to many tabs to show any text on them anyways :D.

I open about 15 taabs at once, and it's impossible to discern any differences that way.

It's just you being in Iraq! Google Geo locates it's advertisements based on your IP address.
