I have swapped in a known working MAF from a 2g turbo DSM, and it is still acting up.

Revs up sluggishly, idle fines, breaks up under boost.

Unplug it and it will rev up perfectly, haven't tried to boost it cause I know it is not good and will only cause more issues.

Going to test MAF harness tomorrow but am open to other thoughts.

Will also test another known working MAF over the weekend.

Car is a 94 VR-4.

Do these cars need codes to be cleared in order for MAF to get out of "limp mode"?

Pressure test.

Already did that, very tiny tiny leak at rear turbo o-ring, typical, it is either maf related, tps, or ecu or ?????

Code won't clear unless you disconnect the battery. Was the maf you tried the same part number? Did you disconnect the battery before trying the new one? Is the ecu the stock usdm one?
All 3 of those devices are built into the maf. Unplugging it will give all 3 codes so will losing power to it. I believe all 3 devices are powered from the same wire. If that wire breaks/fails then nothing will work. The fuel section of the service manual will tell you how to test the wires between the ecu and the maf.
