Hello lads and ladies. I come seeking some answers.
I have been reading about Meth kits from;
AEM
Devils Own
Coolingmist
Snow Performance

And quite frankly I'm getting a bit lost.
I'm chasing hands down the best kit for an NA based on vac feed or MAF (preferably vac)
I've been reading that the snow performance ones do not come with a check valve in the nozzle and they have been replaced for AEM nozzles.

I'm running a Chromed ECU and want to get Meth happening as soon as possible. I just don't want to dick around. I don't want the cheapest kit, I just want the BEST. One that will last me 5-10 years with minimal maintenance. I want to use the car as a daily so I don't want to have to check connections every 5 minutes etc etc...

Also, where to put the nozzle? Post MAF, Pre TB in the intake tube? Or post TB just at the start of the intake? This I am most worried about as in a few weeks I will be getting a custom intake tube made up in S/S and if the nozzle is best placed there, I will have a bung pre welded in.
Best angle? 45 deg's on entry? Or just 90deg spraying straight up into the oncoming air stream?

Failsafes - again reading up is a bit confusing, how these work etc. I would prefer a system with an LED or two, not keen on another gauge in the car.
I'm just hoping a few guys here know a fair bit more than myself and can help me choose the perfect system for an NA. Again, cost isn't the main thing, its reliability and safety here. Thanks dudes.

hi,

My 2c would be to run the coolingmist kit with it pre tb. I would run it off maf not vac. The reason is that it would be move progressive.

Anywho, I've never run meth so hopefully someone would be able to give you better info. I've been researching meth setups as i'm about to go that route also.

What compression ratio are you running so that you need meth ? I assume bp98 with over 11.5:1 prob more like 12.5? What cams you got in it? or is your plan just to crank up the timing to get the most out of the meth?

Run it straight in the tank and be done... No worrying about components failing or running low.

I run 20% in tank meth and have had too ADD roughly 6% extra fuel to compensate. I have done so for several months as had NO problems at all .

272 grinds, 10:1 stock for now. I have a engine build planned for early 2014 but I want to get all these parts in and working/fine tuned before the engine goes in. means when it does, I don't have to fiddle around installing electronics. For now It's a case of "see if we can get a few extra degree's of timing in" and yes, will be running minimum 98RON on petrol or the lovely 105RON of LPG :D

And I've thought about in tank mixing but I just dont know how I'm going to make sure my mixtures are going to be spot on. I'd rather have it come from the washer bottle or an aux tank

Coolingmist - any reason behind this? components? any reason why they are better than the rest?

Depends how much you use the car. If its uses frequently I guess in tank may not be the easiest option.

I drained my tank empty and Filled up with a 20% mix. Now all I do is run the car till fuel light is almost on and then put 10L meth and 40L petrol. For me it's no hassle at all as I probably only do a full tank a month, the best thing though is the is no monitoring or checking to make sure you don't run out... If I run out of meth it's cos I've run out fuel lol

Unfortunately that would be a bit of a pain and not tie in well with my plan of having this work just like a stock car.
Still keen on more opinions before I lay out some dosh - keep them coming!

Failsafes, which one? I would like one that can utilize the 4 LED's I have spare on my Dash from the non ESC-ness

So I'm just doing some reading up. I like the snow performance kit. Very informative on the website, works off VAC, and a very good price (about $550 landed) Just need to confirm injector size.

From what I have been reading people are running these kits but with AEM nozzles. Can't find many things about Coolingmist or Devils own kits. I really do want something that will last me and have minimal headache...

Surely someone here must be using a meth kit!
