Car wants to die at idle. Not adjusting for desired target idle.

So a new problem with the car this weekend. The car wanted to die at idle unless I modulated the gas. Seems to only do it once fully wanted up. Opened evoscan and opened up the idle screw some. Isc steps were unchanged trying to reach target idle. Sat at 30. I hit the ac and steps change and idles higher but then wants to die a bit later again. Afrs seem good.

Today I tried increasing my target idle rpm to 1200. Car still sits at 900 for a while then wants to die again. It's like it's not even trying to adjust the isc to reach target rpm. Any ideas? Isc is fairly new but it's not even trying to adjust it.

Reset the ECU.

I had a similar issue when unmetered air was making its way into the engine by way of vacuum leaks. Just for kicks, I'd do a quick double check of all clamps and hoses.

I had this happen too. Flash ECU but I haven't gone through and tuned the idle per Greg's procedure yet. Also did reset ECU and it didn't return yet, but having other issues so no time on it either :(

So the next day the car would idle fine at 1200 but still couldn't get it to do isc adjustments. Tested for vac leaks just to make sure and it's all good. Reset the ecu last night so we'll see what it does after I get my brakes on. Idle has been solid for over a year now, actually best it's ever been so hopefully this is just a blip.

Rest the ecu and had the car idling for a long time yesterday to bleed the brakes. Car idled perfectly at a set 900. Will have to drive around and see but maybe it was just a blip.

MAFT pro setup in blow thru just sucks.

Never had an issue with any MAFT version running draw thru....

I'd agree for sure. I've always had the hang issue but never this. I believe I've been running perfect idle (once it gets there) since we installed it last year.

So...after running the dragon the car turned around. Idles perfect now, it also no longer hangs mid shift. Odd because I didn't do anything lol. I'm glad it's fixed but worried that it did it on its own. Oh well, guess I'll have to debug it again if it pops up again.

Take some logs of your coolant temps and iSC counts. Copy those values directly into the idle tables. Take note of the AC on/off....

This way should your ECU get reset the correction values won't be necessary and it'll idle perfect out of the box.

Oh, good call! That reminds me. I'm wondering if the target idle is even being attained now. I'll have to grab some logs and see why the idle is now working.
