If it is a competitor to 3si they will frown on it. People have been banned before because of it.

I never put mine on. I do have those little cling decals that Anker made forever ago, but those are easy enough to remove. :D

And THAT is why I think this forum, more than any other in the past will succeed. People are loyal to other people, not a name. I think enough people are tired of faceless corporations in their day to day life to have one run their hobby, too. Having a person that many people have met face to face running a site against a "We value this group very deeply, and I love to drive my 3Si!"- there isn't even a comparison. Then for them to try and say it's Alan's fault for how things ran is a very polarizing way to do things. This alone has turned the "we have a new site" into a "Alan is EVIL! Do NOT dare mention his site!" debacle, which will make those that actually care about the platform move. Those that stay are the ones that feel they have some sort of stature on a web forum and can't swallow their e-ego's to leave.

I've got nearly 8K posts, over 8 years of tenure, previously was Alan's right hand mod, and countless people I consider friends from 3Si. I can attribute my joining 3Si to my current lifestyle (and that is not an exaggeration). Do I feel loyalty to a URL? Hell no! Do I feel loyalty to the people that made that URL special? You can bet your ass I do.

I know someone local that I can have make up vinyls. It's up to Alan if he wants to pursue that, I could handle the shipping of the vinyls (assuming I'm being reimbursed for stamps), but I'm not going to touch the money side of it.

My buddy would obviously be selling the stickers, I don't know about cost (depends on design) and he can't do anything super fancy with multiple colors. If he can't do it, I have another buddy that can definitely do it, lol.

NG and LoriKnits share the fees so that we can keep the NG costs lower, therefore feeding more money directly to the event and less to PayPal.

This is my first post in a discussion topic on the new..er.. forum. All the years on 3si, I dont get what happened. I am blind. I guess I can thank Jeremy for writing it out, of which I replied in his post, but I have no concrete reason as to what the deal is. Yet. SO I am here anyways. Looking to join in with a group of people I have already seen on the forum for a few years. I only remember the 3si names mostly, so if you changed it I wont know you.

I think this will be nice. I am still very confused though. I hope to be here for quite a while like I was on the other. I may browse that site still. I will help out with my knowledge as much as I can.

I know over the years I heard about people stepping on peoples toes and losing them or kicking them out. Back years ago, I think I was actually on the forum when Jeff Lucious was still around. And I know Import Power used to have their own site before Chris moved to NC. Propane injection lol. Anyways.

I look forward to this if it is a new start with out people looking to cause problems and just blatant dumb stuff.

My only mistake on 3s* was insulting back an guy that was insulting me for years (along with many others) with the 'n' word , I'm from Portugal and i didn't know that it was really bad until i ask someone , i did pm Alan on two other forums i think it was at Mitsubishi forums to apologized for that .
For the record i had an couple e-mails from auto forums to go back to 3s* if i pay $*** to be an sponsor , and my answer was no.
You should go after people that rip off people. All i do is helping people on my private shop with their cars with no charge at all and be on the phone for hours with others to help them with their problems , I'm not bitching i just like to do it and you don't ever be able to see/hear an guy claiming that i didn't help hem or rip him off. One thing i don't like is Drama, BS and lies.

3si is dead. It's been dead for a while. Especially after virus' and ads. I won't even allow the site to be pulled up on my laptop, it nearly destroyed our desktop. This controversy has actually revived it a little. The newbs will find us here.
This is going to succeed because this is an honest attempt at improving the community. It's not because "we think we're better than 3si" or "we want to make our own site so XXXX can't get in" like some of the other 3s spinoff sites have been.
This reminds me of the movement to 3si from starnet. People held out, but eventually the new site took over. Someday people here will eventually post, "who remembers 3si.org?"
