I've collected a lot of parts over the years, now that I don't have a VR4 and I'm trying to self fund a business venture, I hope to sell them, even if that means selling them for less than they're worth.

I'm sad to say that I need to sell this engine. I love this thing. I'm tempted to keep it for posterity's sake but I've gotta do what I've gotta do :(

This would be perfect for someone who wants the benefits of a 2nd gen bottom end with the added benefit of extra low end torque from the 9:1 compression pistons.

Here's the run down:

9:1 Ross forged aluminum pistons
2nd Gen block (4-bolt main, forged crank)
1st Gen heads w/ Ferrea 1mm oversized valves
Stock 9b's
Stock Fuel
EGT Probe port in the rear exhaust manifold
Comes with an Autometer EGT gauge and probe
Roughtly 15k miles on the motor since the last rebuild (lost the papers though so I can't prove it)

It engine was running strong the last time I drove the car that it was in.

180 psi held on all cylinders before I pulled the motor.

While the pictures don't show a plenum, it's only because I didn't have it on the engine at the time but it will come with one (and a plenum spacer from 3SX w/ bolts)

If anyone has a 1st gen, this would be the perfect motor. It would be a drop in 4-bolt main with forged pistons and forged crank with 1st gen heads (using a CAS instead of Cam/Crank sensors).

Wish this had been around in the spring before I started rebuilding mine. 2500 is a steal.

I'm in Las Vegas. Lawless Machine, a Vegas shop, did the work on the block. Baker Heads (also local) did the head work.

Lawless Machine is called something else now but I'm not sure what the name is. Both shops are highly rated and both do a lot of work on professional cars. Lawless Machine did the work for Factor X Racing who's NSX was constantly on top of the Redline Time Attack rankings. You can find info on both online.

I sent you a PM Art but I wanted to add more here.

I wish I knew how many miles were on the motor specifically. I believe it's very near 15k miles on it since the rebuild.

The springs are OEM and yes, the motor is ready to be dropped in. I'd be very surprised if it didn't start up immediately.

Oh, if only I was bucks-up - this is exactly what I've wanted to trip over for some time, now.

GLWS!

Thanks :)

There might be a very bright silver lining if I don't sell this engine.

I still own the rolling shell of my first 3S, an NA 91 Stealth. If I have a hard time finding the right buyer for this engine, I might just do what I always dreamed of and turbo my Stealth.

Her and I have gone through a hell of a lot together, I'm torn :\ Ah the life and hardships of a 3S fanatic... ;)

How are the turbos?

I didn't have any problems with them but if you're interested in the motor, I can provide additional 9b's. I have a few extra sets.
