Any vendors on here sell Ford Parts?
I am looking for a 2001 f250 super duty GEM Module.

IPS would probably be the only one. They do a lot of Mustang work. 3SX maybe? They've branched out a lot, over the last few years.

I'd probably just go with a dealer part... I haven't done any research to see if anyone is remanufacturing them, but I'd be leery of the quality even if I found one... Changing it requires a factory level scan tool to configure it to the vehicle as well.
What's wrong with yours? does it have a specific circuit failure? or did it just lose it's mind?

if you need to get a new one from Ford go to Tousley Ford. they sell parts online at a discount (like Cherry Hill) and if you have a question call them and talk to Steve. He is the man when it comes to finding parts for Fords.
AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake Parts (previously Tousley Ford Parts) (http://tousleyfordparts.com/)

It has lost it's mind. The radio, AC, door chime all come on/stay on at will, no need for a key. Will not start, or turn over. HAZ a GHOST a haunting.

Have you considered an exorcism?

IIRC that one is one year too old to to try a reflash... I would try disconnecting it completely to power it down and reset it. I would also check it closely for water intrusion. Those trucks are known for having the GEM catch any runoff from a leaking windshield or cab light. I've heard of some people being able to save them in that case by drying out the GEM and connectors.(but most of the time it's going to be toast)
I don't know what diagnostics have been done yet, so I may be covering already traveled ground, but I'd want to see some scan data and check the powers and grounds before I condemned the module...

Here is what I have been posting on the ford forum I signed up to.
I have a 2001 F250 7.3 Super Duty. Yesterday I drove it to work just fine like any normal day. Upon leaving work I unlock the door to the truck and I realized that the radio was playing and the door chimes were going off, but there was no keys in the ignition. Upon sitting down in the truck to figure out what is wrong, I smelled a burnt electronic smell.
I went to try and start the truck like normal and there was 0 crank.
Afterwards I googled my issue and ran across this " http://www.justanswer.com/ford/7208f...-3-diesel.html "
Which sounds like my issue. I replaced the starter solenoid and also the ignition switch this morning. Neither have fixed the issue.
If anyone has any ideas or needs more details please let me know.
Well I took a look at the GEM board and it looks fine, I saw no traces are water or moisture. What is weird is the electronic burnt smell isn't really there in the cab anymore, but when I pop the hood, it is still pretty strong.
Is there anything under the hood that I can look at that could be the culprit? I already replaced the starter solenoid.
I can't make sense why it would be under the hood.
The chiming and radio still go off and there is nothing in there that would make that happen. So it still has me thinking it's under the dash.
Also on a side note, when I jumped the starter solenoid, I didn't get a spin, only a click from what sounded like the starter. Even tho the battery isn't fully charged, it should still spin somewhat. Like it did when I ran the battery down before.

Some how some way, the starter was so burnt up that it was causing my issues..
A cheap fix compared to what I thought it was going to cost.
