Meant to do this long ago, but.

Anyway, took the wiper off, and the motor out, which left the hole, of course.

Used this to cover it:

Gave it a shot of semi-gloss black and mounted it thus:

Glad Wingnut was here to help - I'd have thought the pic of the package was enough.

Should be able to get them any number of places - any electrical supply warehouse, certainly.

lol, i cant speak for the others...

... but I took my rearview mirror off long ago (no, its not required) so my rear wiper is kinda irrelevant :D

I do, that's why I plugged the hole, Ange. :p

As to rearward vision, it's Rain-X FTW.

Rain X still doesn't do what a wiper does. I use Rain X on my rear window in the Grand Prix and wish everytime it rains that I had a rear wiper on it.

Not one time in any of my vehicles have I needed the rear wiper. It came to me with a busted wiper arm mount, so this is excellent. Been meaning to do this for some time. Just never gained positions on my list...

I use mine all the time. I refuse to delete unless it becomes race car (my future plan) but for now it's considered my dd.

Wiper delete? Why lol. I had my wiper deleted when I bought my Stealth and since then have found the need for the wiper, only it wasn't there. I am adding a wiper to the rear. Unless you are using Rain-X on the back hatch, I wouldn't delete it...

Mostly cause it stops in that stupid UP position

Yea that is true... I like the wiper delete, but Murphy's Law kicks in at the worst times... right when you delete it, you will find yourself pushing the button to use it and nothing happens... lol

I'm confused....Give up on what? The platform because somebody deleted the rear wiper?

I deleted mine a couple years ago and used a similar plug but grey to match trim, but I used to live in AZ with no rain and it is rarely off jack stands anyway:)

Also deleted ac, active exhaust, stock 9bs, stock ecu...anyone else want to give up? ;) JK Forest:D

Damn, is Milt, Rob and I the last people on earth that likes the rear wiper? I love it, I think it looks good too. :p

Sorry if I was unclear. It makes me want to give up when I see people taking shit for deleting their rear wiper.

People won't post mod threads if they catch hell for not keeping stupid features,

I'll try. It just is a little overboard sometimes. Next thing you know you'll be an idiot if you don't run the oem tires.

Some people are lucky enough to not have to drive in inclimate weather and not need a rear wiper. Those of us that do/have dailied our cars feel one can't do without one, that is all. Again, it was all in jest. Just giving each other a hard time.

You mean you don't??? I only run NOS 20 year old dry-rotted tires on my car. It was what the engineers designed it for so who am I to argue!!;)

Like the myriad other deletes, you pick and choose.

I'm keeping my ABS, A/C, clutch-booster, etc, but looking to do the vac reduction and EGR delete.

We all have the same menu, but different tastes.

I suspect if I drove the car in winter, I might have kept the wiper.

Was the complete delete done? The button must be removed and replaced with a solid insert. This will prevent future owners from getting confused.

I had a fun idea to turn the rear windshield fluid bottle into a drink holder. Since our cars dont have cup holders and drinks sometimes spill, screw that. Just run a little tube up to the console and press the button every time you want some of your beverage.... lol

My rear wiper never worked, just made awful grating and grinding noises and flapped around impotently. Considering I literally never used it, it made more sense to delete it. Plan to delete that antenna soon..One of the previous owners swapped out the automatic one for a thick black rubber one that's about 8-12" long (...most awkward description I've ever used of a car part) for part of a complete (if half assed) radio/alarm/keyless install. Always hated that antenna, and I never listen to the radio anyhow, so it's gotta go.

The plug is a good idea though. When I did my rear wiper (and filling the holes from the Stealth spoiler), I used a metal epoxy with thin sheets of aluminum flashing on bottom of the holes, then on top, then sanded it down, used a bit of bondo and bam. Need to repaint it still.
