I honestly think auto racing is the only thing left where people aren't roiding...
In a news conference near his home in Madrid, the world's No. 1 cyclist, Alberto Contador, blamed contaminated beef for the positive drug test that could cost him his 2010 Tour de France title.
"It is a clear case of food contamination," Contador said during a news conference in Madrid Thursday. "I am sad and disappointed but hold my head high."
A urine sample that Contador submitted on July 21 tested positive for a tiny amount (50 picograms per milliliter) of the banned substance Clenbuterol, a beta-2 agonist which is popular among bodybuilders and prescribed in some countries for asthma. The 27-year-old rider has been provisionally suspended and could be banned for two years if he can't prove his innocence.
