1999 Ford Ranger, ya'll!

Found it on craigslist. The truck was for sale at a car lot north of Seattle. Went there Wednesday, looked at it for an hour, drove it for an hour, wheeled and dealed for an hour. I paid 6k out the door. 3 month/3k mile warranty included just in case.

New tires, clutch job 35k ago, timing belt and water pump replaced in Oct 2012. The dealer I bought it from fixed the dash cluster lights, 4 were burned out, common problem apparently. Carfax showed everything good and accurate but it did show a collision. I am thinking driver side body damage, the set of keys I was given has a separate key for the driver side door. Ignition key opens pass side door only. May go to dealer and get a tumbler from my VIN to figure that one out.

I hope to get 27/28 MPG with it and keep miles off my 98.

I dont really have plans for this one other than driving it till I feel the urge for a full size. I think I am going to put a cluster in with a tach, from what I have read it is plug and play between 98-03 rangers or exploders.

you just keep on trying to fit those PNW stereotypes.

same motor in mine with 271,000 on it.

I'd hate to drag that extended cab around though, mine is a stepside regular cab and it still is a huge dog.

wow, didn't know the tach was an option.

It's still slow and red.

New KYB gas a just shocks all around, much better than the blown oem's.
New timing gear 02's and serpentine going in soon along with some uprated 4x4 rear leafs.
