Just kidding.

Just going with the flow.

I might actually post boat pics in here when I feel like it.

I was hoping one of these threads would contain restoration pics of one of these:

One of my all time favorite cars. Do want, but in a hard top, and 69 model.

Enter project boat #1:

yea, it's small, but it's still technically a powerboat by USCG rules. Last of the 9' class hulls, I give you the Sea-Doo RXP, powered by a 1.5L 3 cylinder supercharged and intercooled Rotax SOHC, 4 valves per cylinder hunk of aluminum awesomeness, complete with semi-dry sump lubrication. Good for 215 rated HP stock. This specific one has a slightly larger than stock supercharger, intake system, R&D rough water intake grate on the pump, 2* pump wedge, Riva spec pump impeller, gutted waterbox and straight piped, blacktip traction mats, riva racing seat cover, bars with ODI grips and finger throttle, rub rail covers, and foot wedges. Maybe some more stuff. Fresh engine, hull has over 200 hours.

It'll do a tad over 70MPH GPS on flat water. AKA not fast enough.

Plans are to remove the supercharger and turbo it. Ghetto home-fab style. Currently looking for a used? cheap turbo to use. Fuel tuning will be via Dynojet's CMD with autotune, think power-commander but more. Actually not looking for much more power or speed, but looking for the turbo's wide response vs the linear response of the centrifugal supercharger which only makes top end power. Goal is a solid 75-80MPH with a lot more acceleration, since that's what counts on rough water.

Turbo I went with is on the right, 9b on the left:

Pic I took during a head change to one with titanium retainers and spring shims, also with Supertech inconel valves to take the higher RPMs, rev limiter upped to 8650.

That's awesome! Any pics of the exh mani you built or did you do just an extension off stock mani? Did you get it on water yet to test acceleration and top speed?

It's an extension off the stock manifold. Double walled stainless for water cooling, downpipe is dual wall for about 8 inches to get past the external gate entry then injects the water into the exhaust. Turbine housing is not cooled currently because I think I'm going to go with a bigger hot side. Instead of welding a jacket to the housing I'm going to use a copper coil. I haven't taken pics of really anything yet.

Yea, been riding it all summer, it's like a whole new ski now, acts completely different. Top speed is pretty slow due to the hull bottom being screwed up, but it makes enough power at 12 psi to redline a 15/22R prop that is pitched up to like 24. I just did it for the noise it makes.
