1996 Chevy Blazer 4 DR (http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/3769960087.html)
What do you all think? After messing around with the stealth for a bit, I think I should be able to get something like this back up and running well; diagnosing and fixing a misfire, changing the fluids etc.
Something like this worth the risk?

i wouldnt buy one to save my life, fuel pump issues, fuel pressure regulator issues which are inside the intake manifold, they squeek and rattle like no ones buisness. and that isnt a isolated case its all the blazers that body style!

Hard to do that when just checking it out. Was planning to get under hood and under engine at the most (of course test driving).

Appreciate that input. I have heard those issues from gleaning their forums. I am leaning toward the ZR2 style now...
PS the 6 year old girl is all into the My little Pony stuff...yes I know about Rainbow Dash LOL

If its the 4.3 they get intake leaks and are a BITCH to fix. Buddy at work has a 2001 ZR2 S-10 pickup and had all sorts of crazy issues with this 4wd. Electronics went all screwy. Probably same thing that happened there, which is why the buttons were removed.
After owning my Grand Prix for 2 years I decided the only other GM I would ever condsider in the future would be a Vette, or a CTS-V

Issues, sure...but almost anything 4wd is worth 600 bucks

Yes, the 600 obo was tempting. Mebbe wistfully reading too many resurrection threads on here

I hear you. Perhaps later models r better. http://cnj.craigslist.org/cto/3783052969.html
Figure I can run something like this, accessorize it, run the kids around, beach tags & good for snow, w/o getting into anymore debt.
And, really need another vehicle so I can hard down stealth for upgrades :D

Was checking out a couple ZR2 Blazers in PA yesterday. Nice drive through Amish country. Went to Lebanon and later Saint Clair. When I hit I81 I got profiled by a state trooper. He followed me for a good five miles...then he finally took off.....red cars in PA ::scoff::
One was 140k, a bit rickety and had more body rust than I wanted to deal with. The other was 58k, mechanically sound but also more sniggly body issues.
Anyone in Long Island area?

I like the ~5.5" lift and appurtenant mods, custom exhaust etc. The blazers are a little tighter than I thought, but really should be a good addition to the fleet for weather related/beach runs.
Mods like that if done correctly can be pricey.

That looks infinitely better than any of those Blazers. Just make sure it isn't a flood ride, seeing as how it's in Jersey.

Anyone have any issues with the 2012 to 2005 Pathfinders? Been reading up about the radiator/trany problems but seems like otherwise they are pretty solid.

(http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/4049070194.html)Finally....stealth is ready for a hard down...and I feel a hard winter coming this year... we are due.
Took some time...and saw some POSs out there thats for sure but pretty happy with this one brand/style/amenities etc. At least its not a Chevy lol
hell, i would have suggested a vehicross...but that's a nice snag too!

hell, i would have suggested a vehicross...but that's a nice snag too! As rare as that vehicross is, I have a neighbor who has one...always wondered what it was...looks part amphibious!
Pretty happy with this snag so far...may have to start one of those 'other platform' threads. The JGC are fairly ubiquitous and there is a lot that can be done to them. For the price, she looks great but there are some PMs I will have to get to. Seller said it needed an oil change...did that...had less than 2 quarts out of 6 (V8 version):eek4: Plastic oil plug washer showing signs of leaking, etc oil filter taken off by hand (also showing signs of leaking). Ugh...be weary of the Jiffy lubes.
Otherwise there is a little leaking from front differential, oil from rear DS valve/rocker cover, I think there is a power steering leak but not major. DS CV boot in front has opened up. Some quirky electronic issues, when she starts the ac comes on , fairly consistently for some reason. Still drives fine otherwise and looks good. Heated leather seats work...appreciate that on the chilly mornings nowadays.
