My next project has arrived!! Its a 1968 Cuda that we will be dropping a 340 into. It was recently painted but its not up to my standards so I will be painting it myself, probably the same color or very close. The interior is great, brand new seats and headliner, door panels are excellent, just needs a little paint on the black metal areas. This build will take a couple months and I wont be getting started for a week or so, I will keep this updated with progress pics for those interested in following the build.

Very cool!! Those notchbacks are neat little cars! Was this originally a slant six car? One of my friend's kept the slant six in his '69 & built it up to be different...The thing confuses the hell of out many idling. :P

Nice!! My other friend has a '68 Formula S fastback B'cuda to restore at some point...I think I need to get an A-body as well once I get my Challenger done! :P
Are you going with a factory 340 or an R3 block? I have an original block for mine, but may end up splurging when I choose to build it up & get the R3 block ('cause I want to TT it).
Good luck with the project, man!

Is it sitting high at the front cus no motor or is it trying to copy the 3S wheel gap?

Its an original 340 out of another vehicle, I honestly have no idea what a R3 block is?
Joe, there is no engine or trans in the car right now, but it does look better up high than a 3S does lol.
Not enough of this type of iron running around, Corey.
You're performing a great service to the movement. :D
BTW-
If it had been a fastback, I guarantee I'd have no comment - YUCK!

They are built with more webbing between the walls & just handle that much more power than a stock casting can.

Sweet ride-
I bought a '67 FB back in '81, just parted with it last year...lol...@ one point had a 371ci 340/360 combo with 4speed & 391,twas fun. Was in the process of custom massaging every square inch on it with a rotisserie resto- doing it pro-tour style.....then my TT came along...

Damn, that was coming out amazing, cant believe you bailed on it before finishing it. Was it going to be plum crazy purple?

Yes, I had originally planned on plum crazy, shot a few parts for consideration & then it seemed everyone on the block was going there- it was solid & straight, car is bare steel in pics, just light coating of sealer to prevent surface rust.
I was basically redesigning the whole car, including a more modern dash & interior out of aluminum. For a guy who insists on doing everything, from mechanical fabbing to drivetrain to paint, it was hard to not get overwhelmed & stay focused....she lost her luster after 30 yrs-
Havent regretted a second moving to the 3s platform.
There's still way more of these older Cuda's here in Canada than TT's....

I love the work you had done, glad you made it to the 3S platform, just wish you could have kept the Cuda. This Cuda is being built to be sold also though, wish I could make it as nice as what you were doing but being a profit car I cant spend that much time. If it was just my car I would make it absolutely perfect, but its my dads as well, he may have different plans than I do.

And so it begins. I have a 340-6 engine for it that is almost done being rebuilt. Its an original 6 pack engine, very rare. I need to find a 6 pack intake for it, until then it will get a 4 barrel.

A 70 Cuda is my dream car, some day, some day......
I used to have a pool table in my garage, too. :)

The Barracuda is essentially done. We dropped the K frame, replaced all the bushings in the front end and dropped in a fresh 340 with nice headers. We decided the paint was good enough for now. I have a new project that I am starting next week, so this car is for sale (kinda).
