I need the add a leaf! Just got it 2 days ago. Has an edge tuner that I thought only had 4 levels, and shit on level 4's power. Come to find out the is a 5th level which adds 125 hp, and 240 ftlb torque WOOT! Factory upgraded/recalled? ecu replaced. 4" Magnaflow/cat deleted.

Lariat 04 6.0 egr delete, and heads re-studded. New tires next week. Thinking about the Good Year Kevlar belted All terrains. Tunes NEED help! Soon...

06 F250 lariat. Love the trans, love that its not falling apart like my Dodge did. The cab is freaking HUGE and even at now 126k miles feels still very well assembled and rattle/squeak free. Few issues, most of the money spent was replacing parts that were off the truck due to the EGR delete and the fuel pump dying and wiping out 8 injectors which i consider my fault for not installing the fuel pressure gauge i have had sitting in a box for 2 years.
My work setup:

lol ^^^

nice thread...we bought a 2001 F250 diesel Platinum almost 10 years ago now. The platinum package back then was mostly paint and leather seats that were only sold in the southwest US. I found this one online in Missouri and flew out the next day to drive her home...

this pic was factory rubber, but i put a leveling kit in the front...
http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p243/Muddmann27/f250view_zpsc819b3c7.jpg

then once the factory tires/shocks wore out, we went with a lift and nittos...
http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p243/Muddmann27/vette/0526091448a_zps8afefcca.jpg

then tried super swampers briefly (like 3 weeks) but they were atrocious...
http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p243/Muddmann27/Camera007_zpsecef2dd6.jpg

and currently with pro comp tires/wheels that we bought from a divorcee for less than the cost of the tires...
http://images2.snapfish.com/232323232%7Ffp54384%3Enu%3D4432%3E%3B68%3E234%3EWS NRCG%3D35%3A4884976348nu0mrj

...the 7.3 has been amazing, bought her with 88k miles and right now has almost 170k with no sign of slowing down. since buying her, we have added 3 gauges, one custom chip, 6 inch lift, 35 inch tires, been through one set of batteries, 3 sets of tires, and one transmission

05 f250 lariat Powerstroke extended cab longbed. Completely stock with around 130k miles on it now. I bought it with 122k miles last year and love it. Weathertech floormats and rainguards on it now. It came from Virginia so was pretty clean underneath. I por15'd everything on the underside and even the inside of the doors, then bedlined over everything. I plan on keeping it for a while. This summer I'll be tearing apart the motor to do some reliability mods.

What do I like about it? It's a POS I don't mind driving over trees with. I can scrape limbs down it and it will probably pull my house down. Oh and it's loud and obnoxious so I love to pass snotty Prius drivers with it.

The bad? It's a POS and it's loud and obnoxious.

I thought about it but would be outnumbered :) I was a Ford mechanic for years and wouldn't own one , preferred cummins engine but hated the truck feel.overall and the 06 d max is relatively trouble free , they all have issues just depends on what issues you choose to accept , the 6.0 makes great power but injectors can kiss my ass

I was really surprised with my f250's 4x4 capabilities for being such a heavy machine.

Too bad Dodge could not build a drive train up to par with the Cummins. When they have a fresh front end, and the tranny is not busted I LOVE them. Then 3 weeks later more money is needed... POS

They all have their issues...

Dodge has a great motor but the trucks seem to fall apart
Ford cant seem to rekindle the 7.3 mojo, but that 4r100 tranny is a known weak link
Chevy had their own issues with injectors but put can put down some good power numbers

...ive just always been a ford truck guy, i think ive had one in various iterations my entire driving life :D

As you can see.......I think highly of the reliability of the 7.3L.....as I sold everything that wasn't. Couldn't keep front ends on a Chevy, couldn't keep anything on the Dodge except the engine. I don't much care for the 4r100.....but once it build by BTS I wouldn't have to worry about it, but still don't like automatic transmissions.

grand total of 630,000 miles shown here.

Here is mine...

2003 Ram 2500 Cummins that currently has 266,300 trouble free miles on her. I have owned her since December 2007 and the only thing i have replaced due to breakage is the water pump (twice), the serpentine belt that was eaten by the 1st water pump failure and a fuel pump. When i acquired her she had 84,000 miles on the clock.

Upgrades:
Add a leaf in the rear which essentially makes it a 3500 truck
2" leveling kit in the front
K&N air filter and i cut the sides out of the stock air box to let her breathe a little better
Edge Juice w/Attitude monitor set at level 5 which adds 100 hp and 250 lb/ft of torque
Single disk billet torque converter good for up to 1000 lb/ft of torque
Full 5" exhaust from the turbo back
Full replacement front/rear bumpers
Warn 10k # winch up front
Polished Aluminum rims from and '06 2500 with 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers
Rhino lined bed and on top of the rails
Pioneer head unit, speakers and XM radio receiver

Nice cummins , seems hit and moss around here , all of.our work service trucks are cummins 3500-4500 series . And we hardly have issues , and al out sprayers we work on use pretty much a truck cummins so I'm familiar with the engines through experience but slit of people I know are rebuilding front ends every couple years and pre 05 unheard bad things about the trans

Thanks, i love it. I have heard of people having front end issues and tranny issues with these trucks but i have been lucky. I would love to get a new 2012 or 2013 model but i just cant justify the $50k price tag when this truck still drives great. Maybe in a few years i will splurge for a new one.

Probably not a hauler, but it is a 3.0lt turbo diesel with 350lbs of torque and self levelling rear suspension so is more than capable of hauling my GTO on a trailer.
I don't think this Mercedes engine 300C was available in the US but the 5spd auto box is mint you cant feel it change gears and the heated seats have come in handy with the extended winter that we had in the UK this year.
These pictures were taken at a recent GTO/3000GT rolling road day, I did try putting it on the rollers to see what the chipped engine was producing but could not get a proper pull in 3rd gear as the gearbox kept saying F**k this and changed into first sending the trace into orbit lol, apparently you can get gearbox software to prevent this but I doubt that I will bother.
To sum up this is my Chrysler 300C Touring. Great Car

Although mine is nowhere near as nice as the rest of the trucks in this thread, it still qualifies. My grandpa bought it new, gave it to my dad before he died, and then my dad passed it on to me. It has been pretty much neglected ever since my dad got it, so I'm still doing a lot of work to it to get it into shape. 88k miles, 6.9 IDI, automatic (unfortunately), 4.10 gears, 4wd, 11 mpg and 60-65 mph tops. Plan on throwing in a manual trans and 3.55s someday. Either way, it still gets the job done. I've hauled everything I've ever wanted to with it. And only got left on the side of the road once, which is a miracle for a Ford.

Oh, and it's missing a hub cap because it torched that bearing and melted the hub cap apart. That was the afore mentioned incident that left me on the side of the road.

Yes, I saw yours. The extended cab must be nice to have.

And yeah, I'm happy it was passed down, unfortunately it means I'm somewhat emotionally attached to it. And yeah, mileage is awesome, my grandpa babied it and my dad never drove it over the last 8 years or so. So it's pretty decent, other than people crashing into it occasionally and problems from it sitting around.

I'm not cool enough to have a diesel hauler :( Brother in law has a nice one, not that he uses it for hauling cars though. I've got a 78 F250 with a 460ci and an auto tranny. Not running though, needs quite a bit of work unfortunately as it sat for 6 or 7 years after my grandfather passed (he bought it new). Need at least 1 new gas tank, get the other tank cleaned, tons of body work and metal replacement. Currently needs at least a fuel pump to get fired up (no gas making it to the carb), but I'll get it back on the road and running soon. Has around 500k on the body, motor was rebuilt at 250k and then again just before he passed.
