Me and my son just bought a 1991 Stealth R/T. We are going to rebuild the engine because it sounds like one of the bearings are going out. I don't want to over build, stock is fine. Where is a good place to look for a rebuild kit.

Ebay is half the price, and half the quality. So not ebay.
I've been buying most of the important parts from 3SX for my rebuilds. Not necessarily the best prices, but I've never had to worry about the quality of the parts. But I haven't done any work to my block, so someone who has may point you in a different direction.

I'll second 3SX. Actually if your block measures out OK and your crank is good then you can buy stock pistons / rods / rings for a very good price from 3SX as they strip them out of brand new shortblocks in order to upgrade the blocks to forged internals. On the other hand if you have damage to the crank or block you may be forced to rework them and go with aftermarket internals.

Parts quality is a terrible problem these days. Many will say only OEM is OK, and that statement is true most of the time. Dont skimp because of price. It will come back to haunt you. Consider a new OEM short block, and build off of that.

I have someone coming over this weekend that knows more then me about cars to look at it. So I should know how deep I need to go in to the engine.
