It was the last show of the year, indoor, all weekend long. not alot of imports but for being practicly the ONLY daily driver at the show i placed a nice second. not bad concidering it was a points show, my first and, i was up against all trailer queens in my class. its true i love my car but i always chicken out for shows cause all i see are the many flaws. it snowed outside and i kept telling the looky-loos that while everyone else will be sweating bullets getting thiers cars home, mine gets driven everyday in the rain, shine or, snow. i learned alot like to really compete i need carpet, stantions, display, ect...
i was smart to bring some before pics and a mods list but, i need a real sign. i did bring in my, hollywood special effects done, corpse and while everyone else freaked when someone got close to thier car. i let kids get thier picture in it and with my dead girlfriends arm around them, they loved it. nothing better than having others take pictures of your hard work.

You definitely deserve it man! It’s one of my favorite cars on the forum. Did you get any pics of this car that obviously stole your trophy?

thanks for all the pos feedback! the thing on my drip edge is, a stock mitsubishi rain gaurd. it allows me to crack my windows about an inch while driving in the rain. the car that beat me was an OLD brittish triumph. i had no problem losing to him and should have taken a shot of his car. his engine bay was nice, and everything was ALL original! i put her in the show with an hours notice(no time to chicken out!) and spent half the day fri prepping her while all the other cars showed up. still had oil on the front aroe from the dipstick popping the day before the show. I might show her again next year but i need real cf fenders(overlay is gay),new paint as mine is original and 15 yo,and some sort of stereo as im all about performance but, the crowd likes more customized interiors. if i can get that done this winter with some stansions and cool carpet i can get get alot more points. thx again guys! heres a mods list i had avail:

Congrats, how is the fitment on the CF fenders? What brand did you get?

the ones on my car are overlay and fitment is lacking. theres a 2/3 inch gap between the front bumper and the front bottom of fender. i used some weatherstripping in there and noone notices. id say ed or, cianci will be my next choice in the spring. these were only 400 shipped!, to alaska so i went for it. they are better than the dented fender i had on there, lol.

Cool skeleton and Z16A!

Who makes the carbon fiber fenders? Also, how was the fitment of the fenders?

THEY ARE OVERLAYS! he said it twice already, and the fit is/was poor.

THEY ARE OVERLAYS! he said it twice already, and the fit is/was poor.

"OVERLAYS" is not a brand name, I'm trying to find out the manufacturer of the Carbon Fiber Fenders (http://www.carbonfiberhoods.com/ymm/product/list/?Make=Mitsubishi&Model=3000GT&Year=0&application=4&cat=96) as I said in my original question, so you are wrong my question was not answered twice.

95% of all carbon fiber parts are overlays, carbon on top of fiberglass so the fact that the owner has overlays doesn't narrow it down. In the context saying the "fenders are overlays" is ambiguous, if it was carbon fiber overlaid on a metal fender I would think the fitment would be pretty good or maybe off from the fender being too big and the finish wouldn't be as nice as the pictures, in his post he says it has a gap so I am assuming it's too small, therefore most likely it's not a one off overlaid product but a normal mass produced fiberglass / carbon mold, so most likely it would be Chaser or Extreme Dimensions Carbon Fiber fenders.

Was it something you purchased off ebay? If so, do you remember the seller's name?

got them from another member a few years back off the old site. they are pretty hokey and my car deserves better. noone wants to claim them, lol. so if they had an id badge i would have listed it but there is none. i will be buying the ed cf for replacements when its spring.
