Post an NWS image in the general forum. You'll get a 5 day ban that should make the transition easier ;)

No, I haven't had much trouble staying away from 3si. The only reason I pop in is to check the local area and the classifieds and I’m rarely doing that anymore. Pretty much everyone I want to see is here.

I haven't had any issue because the way they're running it makes it not familiar to me anymore, if that makes sense.. It's a totally different forum now.

Yeah it makes sense, it's one of the mods IMHO.

Thought you discouraged causing trouble on the other site?

Alan92RTTT

Their is a difference between causing trouble and getting in trouble.;)

Posting forum a vs forum b type stuff = causing trouble.
Posting NWS = getting in trouble.

To the OP: it's called self control, although I would hate to see you leave the site.

I would never recommend blatantly breaking the rules on any forum for no other purpose than to get "banned/suspended". Not only does it make yourself look bad, but you could also inadvertently cause trouble for somebody who opens said offensive thread while at work.

I didn't mean to inadvertently open up a can of worms here ... just wanted to find a way a "non confrontational" way to beat the 3si habit is all...

Go hit up the 3sgto arcade. Keeps me away from 3si pretty well. :D

Not really :D

I would say what I said regardless if I was a mod or not. And I don't remember bring up my moderator status in the thread prior, so who is the one judging?

I found the habit quite easy to break. Just leave it alone and go do something else. I've posted more on this forum in 2 weeks than I have on 3Si in 2 years. All it took to break the 3Si habit back then (remember, I was a super mod at that time) was to ask yourself why you want to spend time there. I had no reason then, and certainly have no reason now.

Just give us your password, and we will change it to something you don't know, so you can't log back in.

And don't worry, we won't misuse the password before we change it. We promise.

Its actually more like "delete this thread/post" there, than "ban this person". At least that was the case on one of the last threads I was reading there. In any case, lets not start a war... or continue with it, however you want to look at it.

If I get an email notification from a thread i've posted in I go look. Or I check the Oz section. Spend much more time in here. But i'm a forum whore. I'm on 4 of them LOL.

I've so lost my forum whore status. I post here, and mainly lurk over at the [H] and frequent Ars Technica. Also check out StarQuestClub and the small spin-off forum dedicated to putting 6G motors into the cars.

hahaha omg! LW giving bad info!

Its under the car, you'll have to drop the downpipe in order to get to it, unless you have tiny hands. Doesn't take that long once the downpipe is off. Use jack stands.

come again?

starter is removable without removing down pipe. and ratchet wrench is better at undoing 14mm bolts than jack stands.

just disconnect battery first. and erm...check the little braided ground wire from plenum to firewall.

starter is located bottom front of motor, its held by 2 14mm bolts that screw thru the bell housing into the starter, no need to drop anything except starter.

LW you might be a super mod but your giving wrong info.

don't even have to post an NWS image. simply voice your sentiment that is different from what LW wants, and you'll be given a 30-day time-out. heck, you'll be so steaming mad at the complete utter lack of rationality (or any semblance of punishment befitting whatever "crimes" you're being accused of) that you'll have no desire to ever associate with the clowns over there again.
